The restaurant was delicious, rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was outdated and not well maintained, hot tub was broken. The staff was absolutely lovely

Brought the family on a little east coast getaway and couldn't ask for a better location to return to and unwind in the evenings. Spectacular views on a peaceful cove with every accommodation you could ever need. Exceptional, absolutely loved it!

Our stay at the Muir Hotel was exceptional (our second time staying at The Muir). From the moment we arrived, the level of service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, incredibly professional and genuinely eager to help. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay special truly set this hotel apart. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed and luxurious without feeling overdone. Every detail has been carefully considered, creating a relaxing and upscale atmosphere. The location is also unbeatable. Being right on the Halifax waterfront made it easy to explore the city, with amazing restaurants, shops and attractions all within walking distance. The Muir delivers a true luxury experience in every sense. The exceptional hospitality, pristine accommodations, and incredible attention to detail made this one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. It's an easy 10/10, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Halifax. We can't wait to come back!

Room is clean and the location is convenient.

Very modern, newer decor hotel with nice, clean amenities. Location was perfect once leaving Peggy's Cove without going into busy Halifax. Just a minute down the road from shopping and great restaurants without getting lost for directions. Great breakfast too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at Brier Island Lodge. The motel room accommodations are showing their age but our room was clean and bed comfy and the view spectacular. What more can you ask? We were impressed with the restaurant most of all--the focus on local food, some from their own garden, the friendliness of wait and front of house staff, the quality of the food offered was also marvelous. We drove the island to see the 3 lighthouses and enjoyed our walk on the bog boardwalk. Brier Island was on our bucket list of travel destinations in Nova Scotia and this trip did not disappoint!
