The good things first….the staff and the kitchen/breakfast were wonderful!! The location is central and the convenience of parking in the back was great..however our room left little to be desired. We were downstairs in the basement in room 8, every morning we heard the kitchen staff and then the parade of people for breakfast, it was non stop and so LOUD. The room was so dark, the blinds were broken, so you couldn’t let any light, paint was peeling in places and the furniture needs to be replaced, this room was really bad. Maybe the other rooms are nicer and quiet? It didn’t feel charming it was depressing. The photos on line are so nice that it actually hurts the hotel when you see it in person. It’s a very good rate, packed wrong. If they leaned into funky rather than the beautiful majestic photos it would help greatly with expectation. Loud yet still a great staff with solid breakfast included. Recommend with reservations.

The room was beautiful and very spacious. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff is helpful, omnipresent and courteous. Not cheap, however. Rooms are reasonably priced but amenities can be costly. We liked our room, but some issue with water pressure and water running through cold water faucet never really got cold. Overall we would recommend the Bennett/ provided you are not on a budget! Complimentary car service was a big plus.

Overall stay was excellent. The only issue we had was getting a spot at the pool on Saturday. Service at bar Marti was not the greatest either when we were trying to get lunch on Saturday there. We waited about 20 minutes just to get water.

Excellent location, very clean and historically beautiful. Only negative is the bathroom was tiny!
