Good safe hotel with excellent staff. Extremely close to the Gallagher conference center and perfect for exhibitors/visitors to the show.

Good clean hotel

Ellipse has a fantastic location right next to Mall of Africa, and the aparthotel itself was very nice, but poor internal communication significantly hurt the experience. Check-in was confusing since I received no prior instructions, and despite arriving after the 3:00 PM check-in time, I had to wait in the hallway while housekeeping finished up. Later, I was granted an extra hour for late checkout (12:00 PM) because I was unwell, but management failed to notify staff. Housekeeping knocked at 11:00 AM and again at 11:30 AM, completely disrupting my rest. On top of that, the 6-digit access code repeatedly malfunctioned when trying to exit the building and parking areas. It’s a great property, but management urgently needs a centralized communication system.

Staff were so kind & accommodating. They were always available to help with anything you needed. The breakfast was amazing as were all the meals. I will definitely stay there again the next time I visit. Also a great perk being attached to the mall.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. It is right there on the convention centre. It is a very fancy hotel, very grand. There are lots of super helpful staff to welcome you and look after you. I found my room to be spacious and very quiet. The bed was comfortable, it was nice to have a real full size bath in the bath room. I used the in room dining which came when it was supposed to and the food was great and the service friendly. There is only one thing I do not like about this hotel and that is the glass lifts which run up the open atrium. I have vertigo. I had to use the goods lift which is not so convenient! If you have no problem with panoramic elevators and the like then you will love this hotel.

This is a wonderful, well-run boutique hotel that is very popular. We loved our spacious king room and the restaurant has amazing food, with great staff all round. I highly recommend it but be aware that there events such as matric dances and weddings take place in the event space which can be noisy if you're staying in the hotel rooms. We did not mind it, and the noise levels died down relatively early but if you like very quiet hotel rooms, or go to bed early, then this might not be the venue for you.
