Starting today, travelers in the U.S. can book a hotel with Expedia and Hotels.com through AI Mode in Google Search, making it easier to go from trip planning to a confirmed stay in one easy conversation

What’s New?
Previously, travelers using AI Mode could compare options but would be directed to a third-party to book. Now, they can book within AI Mode itself.
How can I book a hotel in AI Mode?
Start a conversation by asking a question. For example: “Find me a hotel in Seattle next weekend under $250 a night.”
AI Mode then searches for available hotels and shows options with real-time pricing from Expedia and Hotels.com. From there, travelers can:
- Compare options: Review prices, guest reviews on Google, and cancellation policies.
- Select Expedia or Hotels.com: Click “Continue on Google” next to Expedia or Hotels.com in the list of booking options.
- Book in a few taps: Choose the room type and complete the booking through Google Pay with immediate confirmation from Expedia or Hotels.com.
When and where will it be available?
It will be available starting today in the U.S. in English for Expedia and Hotels.com.
Who handles customer service and changes?
Expedia and Hotels.com manage reservations booked on the platform through AI Mode. Once booked, travelers receive an official confirmation email and can reach out to Expedia and Hotels.com customer support for all itinerary updates, cancellations, or property inquiries.
