What: With the tragic wildfires in Los Angeles, Expedia Group is working with the travel industry and local officials to provide information on housing and support for displaced Los Angeles residents. Key resource and policies implemented include:

Vrbo Extenuating Circumstances Policy:

• Vrbo has activated its Extenuating Circumstances Policy for parts of Los Angeles that are impacted by the wildfires. If a traveler is covered, they will receive an email communication directly from Vrbo outlining next steps.  

Philanthropic Partnerships:

• As part of our efforts to support impacted communities, Expedia Group partners with the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP), which includes its California Wildfires Recovery Fund. To aid the LA County fire relief efforts, we are donating to the World Central Kitchen and the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. Additionally, we are matching employee donations to verified charities supporting relief efforts.
