What you can expect

On this 4-day tour you will discover the city of Colombo, the largest city in Sri Lanka situated on the west coast of the island. Explore the vibrant city and discover the protected heritage, customs, and traditions of this developing area.

Explore the city from Kelaniya to Mount Lavinia – there are so many attractions to see in and out of Colombo. Hear interesting stories and learn about the history of the monuments and buildings you visit. On this private tour you can adjust the schedule and duration of the activities to meet your specific needs.

Day 1: Arrive in Colombo
You will be met at Bandaranaike International Airport and taken Colombo. On the way you will learn about the attractions including the Negombo area and beach, the special mangroves, beachside settlements, wayside sellers, the Dutch-built canal, Kalani Bridge, and the river. Stay overnight at a hotel in Colombo.

Day 2: Colombo
After breakfast you will begin a full-day city tour of Colombo. On your tour you will see the beaches, Galle Face Green, the colonial buildings, 3 museums, Independence Square, temples, churches, mosques, the major shopping areas and complexes, and markets. You will experience the way of life, culture, customs, and traditions in Colombo. Stay overnight at a hotel in Colombo.

Day 3: Colombo
In the morning you can relax on Mount Lavinia beach before enjoying lunch at the hotel on the beachside. During the festival time you can enjoy a nightlife tour in the evening. Stay overnight at a hotel in Colombo.

Day 4: Depart from Colombo
After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airport.
