Then we will pass through the electronically controlled gates that divide the two communities known locally as "Check Point Charlie" and walk across the Wall to Shankill Road, where you will demonstrate the determination of the locals who wish to remain part of the United Kingdom.  You will have the opportunity to sign the Wall of Peace - if you wish - and leave your message next to Bill Clinton's and the Dalai Lama's. On this side of the wall we will visit several murals that commemorate the UVF (Ulster Volunteer Force), the Garden of Remembrance and bombing places where lives were lost.  With a deep knowledge of both communities, your guide will share with you the shock lived during this time and the steps that led to peace in Northern Ireland, as well as the hopes and dreams of local communities for the future.
