What you can expect

A guided tour takes you to explore the city of Calgary; from the historic site to the newest modern building:

  • Studio Bell(admission included): Home of the National Music Centre. It organizes interactive education programming, artist incubation, exhibitions and performances daily, as well as an artist-in-residence program. (stop approx. 40 mins) - on foot (Will be replaced by another attraction when Studio Bell is closed)

  • New Central Library: Located just east of City Hall in East Village, with 240,000 square feet of functional, flexible, beautifully designed space, it is a friendly city icon for Calgarians and visitors to gather, learn, read, play, relax, hang out and connect. (stop approx. 20 mins) - on foot

  • City Hall: Take pictures on this early 20th Century, 4-storey sandstone building with a central clock tower, currently is the office of the Mayor and city councilors. (photo-taking stop) - on foot

  • Stephen Avenue: A major pedestrian mall in Calgary downtown, known for some of Calgary's finest restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars, as well as high-end retails. (photo-taking stop) - on foot

  • Calgary Tower: The Landmark of the city, located 191 meters above the downtown core, it offers the best view in the city (photo-taking from outside of the Tower) - on foot

  • Peace Bridge: It is a pedestrian bridge that accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists crossing the Bow River in Calgary. The design follws strict requirements with no piers in the water and restricted height. It has also been designed to withstand Calgary's one-in-100-year flodd cycle and to allow barrier free access for people of all mobility types. (stop approx. 10 mins)

  • Prince Island: A beautiful park that holds many large events through the year. It was named after Peter Anthony Price, a lumberman from Quebec who came to Calgary in 1886 and founded the Eau Clair Lumber Mill. The Eau Clair and Bow River Lumber Company dug a channel to get logs from Kananaskis closer to the Calgary sawmills, resulting in an island (stop approx. 10 mins)

  • Crescent Height: Pass through the Lion Bridge and arrive Crescent Height to have a bird's-eye view of city of Calgary
