Dajia Jenn Lann Temple is a temple workshipping Chinese sea goddess Mazu. Here you will learn Taiwan local culture and how Mazu influences thousand of people. Mazu pilgrimage is now the biggest cultural and religious event in Taiwan. Facing Taiwan Strait, Gaomei Wetlands becomes popular spots because of an array of wind turbines set up near the shore. With backdrop of ocean, these turbines composes of a beautiful picture emitting tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.

On the way back to Taichung downtown, we will stop atTunghai University. This university boasts the most beautiful campus in Taiwan. The buildings in the campus are modeled after the architectural style of the Tang dynasty; however, the landmark is the contemporary architecture designed by I.M. Pei: Luce Memorial Chapel.
