Description

Unearth Argentina's culinary traditions by learning to prepare the some of the country's most popular local dishes. Your entertaining cooking class features the elaboration of empanadas, juicy steak, and alfajores, and tasting the country's iconic beverage, mate.

Once you put on your apron and chef's hat, begin to prepare some tasty empanadas, Argentina's favorite stuffed pastry. While the expert local guide provides insightful information on the local delicacies, you get to indulge in some tasty grilled provoleta cheese and chorizo sausage. Nothing goes better with warm bread than homemade chimichurri sauce or salsa criolla, sliced onions with herbs.

Learn more about Argentina's beef frenzy as you indulge in a palatable bife de lomo steak, served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, and wash it down with fine Malbec. Last but not least, prepare your own alfajores consisting of dulce de leche biscuit covered in chocolate.

To top off the evening, experience the tradition of drinking yerba mate, one of the locals' main social rituals.

The description read as a cooking class, I expected to do/learn more about cooking Argentine food than just assembling empanadas and dulce de leche cookies. That being said, the food was delicious the staff was great and fun. I learned more about Argentine culture
