Lovely hotel
The place was a lovely hotel not far from the Christmas market. All staff and facilities excellent, the room was on the smaller side but had everything we needed. The breakfast was a bit expensive at €18.50 per head so we decided not to purchase breakfast. The hotel does have parking but only 18 spaces for the whole hotel which are never available. There is a multistorey car park opposite the hotel which is €18 per 24hrs max

It was hard to find as street names kept changing. We were able to enjoy the city as everything was nearby.

Surprisingly Good!
When we arrived we were concerned about the location (across the street from the main bus terminal), but we found parking (next door garage) and walked to the hotel to check in. Very simple, clean and nice - Peasantly surprised. The front desk team was very nice, friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, modern, clean and looked brand new! Come to find out that were not as far from the cathedral area as we thought - Just a two/three block walk, and you are in the heart of the city! Convenient, safe, quiet, and even a good breakfast.

Beware your neighbours
The premium hotel rooms have no soundproofing, we were awakened by our neighbours going number 1. And then the tv went on and we could enjoy that. Initially the reception was super nice, but when we wanted to check out earlier, it was bit of kartuffle to pay only the one night.

Adequate.
Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, but building work going on, which would have been good to know beforehand. Room was small, but adequate, though with tiny wardobe hanging space, and the hotel overall very utilitarian. The Sauna cost extra. Unimpressed to find a lot of long black hair in the bed and the on the cushions on arrival. It would have been nice to have more than one small bottle of complementary water and one set of towels for a three night stay.

Positives and negatives
Loved the staff, the room, the hotel in general. Did not like the price of breakfast at Euro 16.50 although it was good but it was only Euro 9.00 just down the road and there breakfast was as good.. The room was noisy. Yu either had to have the aircon on to keep the heat at a level or open a window if you were too hot to get any airflow. Lots of traffic until early hours so not the best. Next time we will ask for a room at the rear.

Best choice!
Wonderful service at the reception, and convenient location. Bath, air conditioning, and other facilities were new and good. Shampoo and conditioner was not served. Great breakfast for16 euro.

Very nice hotel but...
In general the hotel is nice, renovated, very well situated like ten minutes from the cathedral. However, it’s near a bus station. If you open a window, it’s very noisy even at night. The corridor keeps the strong dusty air. So if you have asthmatic problem, keep some medicines with you. You might need it.

Recently remodelled
Hotel rooms have recently been remodelled and it has been rebranded from Best Western to Best Western Plus, following higher standards. Rooms are very comfortable now, high quality furniture, soft towels, two padding armchairs, heating with radiator, welcome drink, plugins and USB plugins on the nightstand, comfortable desk to work with individuall light. They have added now free coffee and cookies at the reception in the morning. It is my first choice when I visit Aachen.

Hotel was lovely to look at, we had a lovely dinner in the old town of Aachen which was a 5 min walk away. Hotel staff in the evening were lovely and really helpful. Because check out wasn’t until noon, we decided to have a lie in and a chilled morning, however were woken up at 9am by the loudest drilling which continued for an hour. When we mentioned to the morning staff about it, they just shrugged and said it wasn’t them. There was no apology or explanation, that would have been appreciated. Overall this ruined our stay.

Quick sightseeing stop
As of May 2018 hotel is undergoing renovation. Noisy during the day after 8, but quiet after 6 Pm. Didn’t bother us. Our room was recently done. Quiet after hours. The hotel has a parking lot 150 m away, which we didn’t use because we only stayed one night and parked across the street for 15€. There’s space to drop off and pick up your luggage at the door. So parking was no hassle. You have a 2 or 3 block walk to some nicer restaurants and the old city is relatively close. Would stay here again.

On arrival at the hotel with my Son the girls on reception were very pleasant and helpful and made us feel very welcomed. The ladies who cleaned the room were very helpful and happy too. All in all a great place to stay with a great breakfast and outstanding staff!

Superb reception staff. Shame about the very basic room, mean coffee making supplies and bottle water. Cramped, including the shower. TV a mile away from the bed. No reading light.
