Lovely property nestled in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. We loved the lounge area to relax at the end of a long day. Our rooms were cleaned daily and the entire hotel was pristine. Staff was very helpful and kind. It was a few minutes walk to the nearest tram to access the center of Amsterdam.

An adorable traditional style rowhouse. Think narrow and steep staircase - charming but theres an elevator!! Great staff - friendly, will ask if you want eggs with the breakfast items, honor bar in the lounge, coffee machine, bottled water. Updated nicely - very comfortable beds and nice shower. Very walkable area - a couple blocks to the Museum district and many cafes and restaurants around. Tram is nearby. Would definitely come back again. Felt very safe walking around, clean area, and staff if very eager to assist

De ware Jacob was a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for visiting Amsterdam for the first time. Our room was very clean and updated. The staff at the hotel was accommodating and very nice. Will make sure to recommend staying here to all my friends and family visiting Amsterdam. The next time I visit I will be staying here again.

Hidden Gem
The location was excellent! The staff were professional and attentive. Everyone working there was there to help. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the lounge a great deal. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

They have the very best staff at the hotel desk, and we stayed in a spacious quiet superior room, with very comfortable chairs and bed, and a great shower in the bathroom. The neighborhood is close enough to walk to the museums and the beautiful streets and canals of Amsterdam. Will certainly stay here again. Front desk staff are 10 stars!

Quite safe and beautiful- we loved this place and would defo return again one day. Very easy to get into town on the tram and lovely evening walks after supper around local residential streets. We travelled with our 12 year old son and had a brilliant time. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. A very charming experience.

Small but perfectly formed
Loved this little hotel. One-night stay in a very small room, but perfectly appointed and more than adequate for my needs. Quiet neighbourhood near Museumplein, complimentary drink, complimentary minibar (soft drinks, snacks), good bathroom with great toiletries and excellent shower. High standards of personal service.

The staff there are super nice and friendly! Lovely decor in the room too and very comfortable. Takes about 10min to walk to the nearest tram stop. Would definitely stay here again next time.

I received a room with a bunk bed.I was alone and I booked a single room so it was not a problem as I am 5‘ 7‘‘ It would have been a problem for some one 6ft or over! Abbiamo soggiornato presso questa struttura per 3 notti. Camera famigliare per 4 persone. Camera abbastanza spaziosa e pulita, posizione dell’hotel non in centro ma nemmeno troppo lontano. Appena arrivati succede che una lampadina, appesa alla parete si rompe andando a frantumarsi nel letto e per terra. Chiamiamo subito la ragazza alla reception per chiederle se potevamo pulire, anche da soli, i vetri per terra e sul letto in quanto impossibile dormire. La ragazza, un po’ indisposta non capiva la situazione. Successivamente infastidita si presenta in camera con un aspirapolvere ( che non sapeva accendere) e in modo molto approssimativo inizia a pulire i vetri per terra. Gli faccio notare che era necessario anche aspirare o cambiare il letto poiché presenti mini vetri anche li, ma totalmente infastidita mi ignora. Successivamente fa la foto alla lampadina rotta ed esce. Morale della favola, l’ultimo giorno ci vengono accreditati 100 euro per il “ danno ’’ poiché la lampada , a loro dire, veniva dall’Italia quindi molto costosa. Siamo stati i primi a dire che avremo pagato eventualmente ciò che si doveva pagare, ma non di certo 100 euro per un ‘’ lampadina’’. Peccato prometteva bene come hotel.
