We were in Anderson for a wedding.Posted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: As above--location, clean, comfortable, roomy.
Cons: An offering of hot coffee w/bagels or pastry would be most welcomed.
Location: The main street is less than a miole away and there are an abundance of restaurants to meet everyone's pallet.
The hotel was ideally located, cleran, comfortable, roomy. I had forgotten my cell charger at home & a member of the staff let me borrow hers- an extemely nice gesture. My wife wasted away at the pool. Just wish there was a breakfast availability.

OK for price.Posted Apr 23, 2013
Location: very convenient to civic center
Friendly staff - accommodated my request for different room on check-in, mostly because I (single female) had been put on ground floor with large windows. There was a musty smell to both rooms. You have to request a hair dryer because they felt it necessary to remove them from the bathrooms. The long term boarders bring it down. One was behind the desk at one point, apparently doing her personal laundry in the hotel facilities - with large dog hanging out with her. Another was often at front desk - both dressed barely above pajamas. Yet another several times drunk in parking lot/elevator/hallway.Price and cleanliness made it acceptable.

The hotel is conviently located to shopping. However, the lobby and first floor reapped of smoke. When I made a comment about it to the front desk as I was checking in, she didn't even respond. My room was located on the first floor and smoking was heavy on that floor. Bathrooms are really small but having a microwave and frig was very helpful. For a quick night stay, it was not too bad.
interesting stayPosted Dec 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
We had problems from the start but it really wasn,t the hotels fault...it was hotels.com fault. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day and the front desk was closed..we finally got ahold of someone that was able to get the manager and after about a 30 minute wait ..she arrived and we were able to check in . She informed us they have told hotels.com time & time again to let customers know during major Holidays to call ahead because no one would be there....anyway ..the rest of our time went OK and the people there were very nice once we got things figured out.

Just enough, no more, no lessPosted Oct 9, 2012
Pros: The hotel was in a quiet area without busy traffic and noise.
Cons: The hotel turns off the front desk phone after 10:00pm and there isn't any food in the morning.
Location: The location was good for us while visiting our daughter at Clemson University and attending the football game. I would recomend it to a friend.
The hotel was okay but doesn't have any bells or whistles. Our flight was late getting in and when we called the hotel for directions only to find out the front desk phone is turned off after 10:00pm. So we had to stop twice to ask for directions. It is located off the beaten path and no one seemed to know where it was. Recomend bringing a GPS. We were pleasently greeted upon arrival. The hallway to the room smelled of smoke but the room was okay. The room was clean, very small and on the verge of needing updating but served the purpose. You need to step around your partner to manuver in the room. The hotel does not offer any kind of breakfast food.
Good location, but room was in horrible conditionPosted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
I will never stay in another Home Town Suites. I see now why the rates were so low.

Cleanliness of roomPosted Sep 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
The staff is amazing!!!!! Their attention to their guests needs is exceptional. For the most part the room was clean. The carpeting could use an update and the room was much smaller than expected but it was workable. The bathroom however did need a great deal more attention. The shower curtain smelled sour and the floor could use to be mopped. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
