The gals at the front desk were wonderful, and the hallways were nice and bright (great for a female traveling alone). But when I arrived, my door was latched open (maybe by housekeeping?) The front desk employee understood my concern and kindly walked back with me to make sure the room was empty and safe. The place generally feels somewhat run down. I was appalled to find someone else's fresh makeup on a supposedly clean wash cloth at the BOTTOM of the folded stack. Not acceptable. I would not return.

Electrical in room was not functioning properly and plugs so worn they wouldn’t hold an adapter. Luggage carts were worn and need wheel maintenance. Breakfast was nice except awful sausages.

Staff at check in was very nice. We had a short stay but would probably choose a room in middle of hotel overlooking the really nice pool area. Our room was very small, very thin walls and in a wing that felt almost detached and in need of updating. Value for our $$ was good.

Our first room in the "Atrium" was not clean, had a noisy air conditioner, and it had a bad odor. We asked for a different room in the "Tower", and the room was significantly better. The bed was very comfortable.

Got there around 1am checked in went to my room it was horrific. Room was in construction. Got another room not the best. Kept having to change the key card I got no house keeping during my stay even after a request and my daughter found bugs in the apple juice. Reported it all and all I got was “sorry mistakes happen” I travel a lot and I’ve stood in cheaper hotels with better service.

Pros: Friendly staff, gift shop, full breakfast, comfortable bed and pillows, good price for value, rooms were decently clean Cons: AC doesn’t work, no ventilation fans in bathroom, cleaning product residue left on hardwood floors make it slimy and slippery. Hot tub was disgusting and filled with tons of unsupervised children under age 8.

Staff was very nice and accommodating but the property was dated and lacking cleanliness. The fitness center was abysmal with literally nothing working, and breakfast was subpar but about as expected. All in all, You pretty much are getting what you are paying for!

I really wanted to like this place. It had a pool for my son and a great price point. But I was so disappointed with the room. The staff was friendly and helpful but it didn't make up for the outdated condition of the room. The temperature control was non-existent and it made it nearly unbearable. A maintenance man came by to "adjust" the air conditioning but it did little to help. The lovely desk clerk provided us a box fan that helped slightly but we didn't get restful sleep due to the heat. The bathroom could use some cleaning and updating. The fan was caked with dirt and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. I short, it was a safe place for us to rest our heads for a night it I don't think I would return.

Huge lovely atrium with pool; requires a bit of walking to the rooms. Carpeting in hallways was not well vacuumed. Rooms a bit too warm with no window access.

This property is outdated. The air did not work in the rooms not just mine. We had a hard time sleeping because of the temperatures. The pool and hot tub were dirty. Some of the outlets in the room did not work. Bathrooms in the common areas were out of order. There was not enough staff for the bar and restaurant area. Take your money and go elsewhere.

Not very clean. Carpet was very dirty in the common areas. Old and somewhat shabby. Our room was uncomfortably HOT! I could hardly sleep. Because they had not turned over to a/c for the season, we had no ability to control the temperature in the room. People were nice. Snacks were cheap. Free breakfast was decent and a good value.

Tiny rooms with about 3 inches of cheap wall separating your bed and the noisy hallways. In February it was freezing and the temperature control unit in my room did not produce warm air. I considered taking a dip in the hot tub but after taking one look at the pool area, which looked like the water hadn’t been changed in over a year, I decided to spare myself. When the pool area is closed you can actually see a film of filth floating on top of the water. The free breakfast was also probably the worst of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but I did like the food and drinks I ordered at the hotel bar one night. The staff was generally unpleasant as well, with the exception of one young man I saw working during my stay here- unfortunately we had no personal interactions, but he stood out to me as the kind of employee I expect to find in the hospitality industry. Every I did interact with couldn’t even muster a fake customer service smile- although, given my impression of the facility, I could understand why. Overall if you want a cheap place to stay, I’d still recommend looking elsewhere- I know in the future I will.

Not a bad stop! Easy check in, the staff at the desk were very helpful. The gentlemen was very supportive and moved us from our first room as the mattress was broken. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub it didn’t look very sanitised - cloudiness in the water. The lady at the bar was super helpful at sharing what you can do in the area. We just used this place to sleep and it was very comfortable. Lots of food places around. Beautiful town. About 49mins into Detroit. The washroom in the room every now and again the toilet water would run. On a plus side good heating and ac in the room, plenty of pillows, towels and toiletries.
