“value for money”
the location of the hotel is ideal for travel to the metro station, shopping, places to eat and tourist spots. monastiriaki and oomonia stations are walkable even with luggage.
the hotel rooms are of the average european standard. the staff are extremely helpful. nice breakfast. access to internet. clean bed linen provided.
initially we were sceptical about the choice of hotel, as many reviews mentioned of druggies, prostitutes in the surrounding area. to our relief, there was not even slightest of inconveniece from the surroundings, though one can see prostitutes on the streets. most of the nights we returned to the hotel after midnight and never felt unsafe. in fact, one can see many tourists walking at that time. there was lot of patrolling by athens police at that time.
the biggest flea market at monastiriaki, plaka, roman agora, hadrians library, syntagma where the greek parliament and city centre are all in walking distance.
on the downsid the toilets and the shower area are very small and the road leading to the hotel does not look posh.
