Weekend getaway
We had a wonderful time and the neighborhood was quiet. We were able to rest and recharge. We had everything we needed and it was very clean and host was accommodating. The view was breathtaking and we loved having the beach so close. It was a great way to spend our evenings. We will definitely be back

Maine coast get away
Everything was lovely inside and out except for the bed in the second bedroom. My 72 year old friend had to sleep on the couch because it was just too small for 2 normal weight adults to sleep together. Change it to a queen and everything else was wonderful!!

Perfect rental for family vacation
My husband and I enjoyed this home with our two children (19 & 21). The quiet neighborhood was great to relax and enjoy the outdoor space at the home. It was close to grocery and lobster markets to ensure we had everything we needed (we visited Winter Harbor Co-Op every day for our fresh lobsters!!) Although, planning ahead was key as everything was closed between 5-7pm. Driving to Bar Harbor and "the big park" was easy, but we really enjoyed exploring the Schoodic Peninsula and appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle (and lines!!)

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful time at Rocky Beach cottage. The house is really charming and the views of the beach and water can't be beat! The hosts were very friendly and included lots of touches around the house to make guests feel comfortable. We spent time in Bar Harbor and visited beautiful Acadia, but also enjoyed eating lunch in Corea and stopping by Dorcas library. We would definitely stay here again!

VRBO was extremely well equipped (with fire pit, logs and s’mores provided) and very clean. One of the best we have ever stayed in and pictures are accurate. Very close to Corea on the wharf restaurant for fresh lobster. Only issue was new house being built next door that caused quite a bit of noise. I would have liked to know that before the trip so we could have planned our stay during more of the weekend when there were no workers.

Welcome "Home"!
After booking Rocky Beach Cottage, I was contacted/welcomed by the owner...with kind and helpful communication/updates prior to our arrival. Upon a late (midnight) arrival, the lights were on and we walked into an immaculate, yet very cozy/inviting, reTREAT! Upon waking to a beautiful sunrise, the lapping ocean sounds against the rocky coastline had me skipping outside to fully enjoy the most peaceful setting. Priceless. I had not been back to Maine for 30+ years. Staying in such an inviting cottage, and neighborhood (saw a deer saunter by during a misty evening stroll down the road!), with all the necessary amenities, I truly did not want to leave.

Great house on the shore
This house was a really good place for my family. The host was really responsive and helpful (they knew we had an infant so they put a pack ‘n play crib at the house for us and responded to questions within minutes). The house was very clean and nicely appointed. The lobster steam cooker they have on the property was such a fun experience and really easy to use. I would not hesitate to go back!

Great cottage with attention to details
This is a gem of a cottage. The owners have done a great job of making this a beautiful place to relax and enjoy. They have a seafood pot if you want to cook fresh seafood, lots of cozy blankets, and even a back-up generator if the power goes out! (Generator is noisy, especially at night being right outside the main bedroom so we did have one night of bad sleep as the generator was on for 7 hours, but a nice feature to have.). There are serval cute restaurants to drive to, but be sure to check hours as many places are only open part of the week (or at least this was true during our visit right after Labor Day). We also recommend taking the ferry from Winter Harbor over to Bay Harbor for the day just to enjoy the scenery from the water.

Great Escape!
This cottage has everything you need! Great to wake up every morning with coffee & watch the lobster boats, even better to come back in the evening & build a fire & roast marshmallows! Less than an hour to drive to Bar Harbor & Acadia. Cottage was clean, beds comfortable, kitchen well equipped! Hosts were quick to respond to our questions. Thanks for the welcome basket! Would definitely recommend!

Acadia Perfection at Rocky Beach Cottage!
We had the most amazing time at Rocky Beach Cottage. From the moment we opened the door, everything was sparkling clean and everything we needed was provided! Alice and Kyle were wonderful to work with and the cottage is stocked with all the extras including a s’mores kit, toiletries, laundry detergent and snacks! We drove in but if you are flying in just pack your personal belongings because everything you need is here! The location is amazing, on the Schoodic Peninsula which is the slow side of Acadia and gorgeous! You can easily drive or take the ferry to Bar Harbor and the rest of Acadia. There are fewer but very delicious restaurants near by and places to get fresh lobster off the boat. There is also a very fun ice cream/snack shop just down the road that our teenager frequented almost every afternoon. So many outdoor activities to do and definitely visit Schoodic Point which was our favorite spot in Acadia and just a 10-15 minute drive. We had the park to ourselves and gorgeous weather. If you are scrolling through, just stop and book now!

Perfect Peaceful Honeymoon
Great location, quiet and cozy. This was a wonderful cottage for my husband and I to explore the surrounding sights. The cottage had everything we needed. The host made sure we had everything we needed and were easy to communicate with. We'll definitely go back.

Amazing place!!!
We enjoyed our time at Rocky Beach!! It is in the most beautiful spot! Morning coffee on the water every morning was amazing! The view is stunning! The cottage has everything you could need plus more! Beds were comfortable and cozy! Alice makes sure you are feel at home away from home! She even left us an adorable Maine cheeseboard to take home (nice touch)! We loved exploring the area and coming back to the cottage. A bonfire under the stars is a must! If you need a spot to get away and relax in a lovely cottage this is it. The water is right out back - beautiful sunsets - super quiet. The cottage was very clean and updated and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and helpful. We will be back!

Amazing all around. Alice and Kyle were so helpful and the house and location were top notch. The house has a nice yard, awesome fire pit, grill, and is right on the water. House is renovated and is simply perfect. Cozy couch with fireplace. Sunroom was a favorite to relax and read, play games in, and the beds were so comfortable. Everything we needed was provided including lobster pots and a separate stove to use outside. Sunrise was gorgeous and we were spoiled with a thunder moon during our stay. The surrounding towns were great. We did a great lobster tour and saw seals, puffins ;) The schoodic part of Acadia was perfect for hiking and biking, and we took our kayaks out in a local pond. Main Acadia hiking was about an hour away. We found a few local markets for food, and tried out some restaurants that Alice and Kyle recommended. Overall, would give rocky beach cottage two thumbs up. You won’t be disappointed.

Remote Paradise
Came here for remote relaxation and was not disappointed. The Cabin is perfect for a four person stay. I enjoyed every night at the fire near the ocean under every star in the universe. The proximity to Schoodic Point is outstanding, the least crowded part of Acadia. I spent most of the days hiking in the park or sitting on the rocky cliffs watching the crashing waves. Recommend Winter Harbor for groceries, gas and alcohol (MCs Market Place across from the Pickled Wrinkle). The host was excellent as we were greeted with snacks and gifts and was very responsive to all information requests and very helpful planning our trip. Very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The lighted path to the ocean was a plus and tide pooling right out the back door was awesome....recommend using the lantern at night to catch crabs. Thank you for an excellent time!

On the water location!
Alice and Kyle were amazing hosts starting with tips for our trip all the way through to the end! Their VRBO is so comfortable - spacious kitchen for cooking and nice living room with a gas fireplace that heats the room and provides great ambience for movies! The location of their Adirondack chairs and fire pit provides great sunrise views! There are several small restaurants in the area and Schoodic Peninsula is easy to explore - and the trails are not as highly trafficked as over in the main part of Acadia. Great location for some R&R time in any kind of weather!

Amazing place to stay!!!
I highly recommend stay here . This place was just perfect for our 20th anniversary getaway.. The home is beautiful- fully renovated and very cozy. You are right there on the water, where you can use the fire pit and there is even everything you need to cook lobsters right there by the water. Cannot say enough about Alice. She was so helpful in answering any question we had. And never made us feel like we were bothering her. Quite the opposite. She is very kind and willing to help our guests. The town of Corea is Avery quiet and quaint, and the people are very friendly. You are just a 10 minute drive or so from Acadia schoodic park. We went to both sides of the park, and we found this side to this aide of the park was just as beautiful, but without any crowds of people. We cannot wait to stay here sometime again in the future.

Perfect Getaway
Loved the remote location, many hiking trails on the peninsula to enjoy close by, was a little drive to do somethings but the peace and quiet were worth it. Spent most nights at the fire pit listening to the water. Owners were responsive to any issues or questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing cottage on an awesome beach!
We stayed at Rocky Beach Cottage April 1-5 and it was amazing! The cottage is perfectly decorated for a warm cozy beach get away and the views are amazing! Alice has thought of everything that could be needed in the cottage to make anyone feel at home and spoiled during your time there. If the view wasn’t so amazing I could have relaxed in the comfy bed all day! We cooked at home most meals and found everything we needed to be present. The coffee/wine bar is also perfect. We even went to the local lobster wharf and got fresh lobster and cooked outside with pots supplied while enjoying a bonfire on the amazing beach! This lobster cookout was a first for our family coming from Minnesota and we loved every minute of it. Alice was also thoughtful and provided tips on where to go for fun and a few extra groceries. We felt well cared for. It was a wonderful stay in Corea Maine and we can’t wait to go back to Rocky Beach Cottage.
