I highly recommend the Sea Side Chateau for its serene setting, ocean breeze, and ample space for relaxation, making it an ideal spot for families. The resto is a bit pricey though.

The property itself is nice. The cabins are super cute and very clean. The lady at the front desk was amazing. She answered all questions and helped with some concerns (out door wouldn’t lock but she had it fixed within the hour). The restaurant was our only issue. The first day took over 2 hours to get our food. Then we realized there is only one person cooking so we eased up but then when we went at night and ordered drinks and appetizers we never got the appetizers. The lady had forgotten them. The food was good. Just depends on who you to get as your waitress. Other than that it was a good stay. Good location for the city. Close to both airports and the ferry.

It had what we needed, which was good access to the airport. The property is a little dated and quirky, but they've done what they can to create a fun vacation vibe. The view is fantastic and I really enjoyed the crocodile viewing tower, though we didn't see any. There were mosquitoes and I wouldn't want to stay here during the rainy season. Restaurant food was fine, but those restaurant prices are sneaky... Watch out! (It feels like a bit of a scam and doesn't do justice to the overall warn Belize experience - too bad)

The property was secluded upon arrival we were greeted by security and staff who assisted you with luggage to our room. Overall our stay was unbothered. It was very peaceful and serene. We went with our 3 a d 6 year old children and they loved it. We got a room with a kitchenette. but no pots or pans. We asked staff and they gave us a pot. We were short on wash cloths and towels and they gave it to us. If you dont see something just ask. Also if you like to fish they have fishing rods available for rental. Plenty good fish are in the river. My husband caught a snook and the hotel staff prepared it for us. It tasted amazing thanks to Chef Ellis. I also met the manager he is a cool down to earth guy. My overall experience was lovely. Wish we had stayed longer. Cant wait to go back. They also have a cruise than you can take along the river to sightsee and fish. We did an early morning cruise and saw howler monkeys, manatees, dolphins, iguanas swimming, crocodiles and a wide variety of edible fish..Our captain Anthony was knowledgeable and gave us a great tour along the river.

1- On my 2nd day on the property, I advised office personnel about not having Wifi and got a nonchalant response, someone would look at it later. I miss two days of work because of this. 2- the staff charger me $40 Belize dollars which is equivalent to $20 US dollars, just to wash one load of laundry( not allowed to wash your own clothes). I went to office and asked what is the cost of laundry service, he told me $10 US. He told me hold on and he will check. He came back a few minutes and gave me back $20 BZE dollars. 3- there is no store nearby and after there is no drinking water after hours. With that being said, you are charge to be driven into town to purchase water etc.. 4- the resort overcharges for the food and everything is in US Dollars. 5- The resort will cheat you out of money if the opportunity arises. 6- I requested to go elsewhere and was advised I would not get a refund.

for future guess please note that we charge only 5 dollars a load to wash and 5 dollars to dry, we don't allow guess to used our laundry because our washer are different and don't want any one to spoil them , we are are resort and is 5 miles from the air port , 95 percent of resort in Belize are away from other places to give the guess a quit relaxing experience , we offer filter water and bottle water at restaurant until 9 pm.

The property was beautifully tended to. We did not receive the room we reserved and were put in the back of the property near the junk piles and broken vehicles. We had the reservations for over three months and were given the worst room on the property. The staff was helpful but disorganized and follow through was slow if it happened at all.

No vegetarian options. Polluted river. On they flip side, high nitrogen in the river produced very lush shorelines. Cabins were clean, in excellent shape and well appointed. Dine early to avoid the no see ums, as restaurant seating is outdoors. Nice river paddle (gear could use some upkeep) but shower afterwards. Excellent internet connectivity. Friendly and helpful staff - kitchen at restaurant is small so some patience is necessary. What we did eat was well prepared. I would visit again as a transition spot for the airport but my vegan brother would not.

The cabin & pool were great. You cannot swim in the ocean - crocodiles! Restaurant super slow for dinner: 90 minute wait although waitress very attentive. Can't walk to an alternative. Breakfast not served until 8am.

Communication was excellent! The directions we recieve were perfect and took us right to the office. Once there, we were greeted and quickly checked in. The property is quite pretty, and has terrific potential. However, it is starting to look a bit run down. The grounds are clean, but the decks are showing their age. The pool was nice, but limited seating, and again the wood decking needs attention. There is a large pergola area for shade, however the fabric was tatered and torn (needs replaced). The restaurant is ok, and some of the food we got was delicious, but 1/2 of it was not edible for us, as we cannot handle spicy food. The menu does not match what the chef sends out (expect onions & peppers in EVERYTHING). Even plain food we read & ordered still showed up with peppers, onions, tomatoes, etc. in it. The room we got was clean & comfortable inside. The shower was larger than expected, and the toilet was in a separate space, which was very nice for privacy. The bed was decent, there was a table & chairs, and a TV that worked. The few problems were: very strange entrace to the room. It was large sliding glass doors with advertising murals covering them, like a sales office at one time? There were drapes on the inside to provide privacy, however the doors closed poorly, and offered no sound proofing of any kind. The shower door had no handle so was difficult to close, and some trim in the room was falling off. This place just needs some attention!

This place could be really nice. The grounds are nice. My A/C didn't cool very well. Breakfast & Dinner were very bad. Dinner was a pounded 1/2 chicken breast swimming in garlic butter with soaked smashed potato and few veggies. Breakfast was Tablespoon of yogart, 2 slices of toast with butter / jam few pieces fruit. No water in rooms. Toilet was plugged upon arrival. No internet so TV didn't work either. The check in office is very odd and wierd. Room had a claws foot tub right in entryway with misc faucet on side from wall.

This hotel did not meet my expectations based on other reviews. The rooms were below average (the bathroom was part of the main room, because the wall dividing the space did not go to the ceiling). It seems like this is a property that was something else and is in the process of being renovated into a hotel. It was clean, but the area is very inconvenient even for being so close to the airport (which is why we stayed here). Costs for amenities are HIGH - especially the really limited food options at the on site dining (essentially the only option for food if you stay here), this was the highest cost food for the quality that we experienced in Belize. The airport transport is $20 US per two people. Good things: cleanliness, it was quiet, the staff was very nice and tried to be accommodating, there are facilities to hang out (although they are strangely structured), and access to beach and a pool. Overall, I would probably recommend just staying in Ladyville proper if you want to be close to the airport.

At one time this was a lovely resort, the staff all appeared to take pride in their work and customer service. Unfortunately the management/owners should spend some $$ for basic up keep. The lock to our room did not work and it did not work at our arrival either. (Friends were travelling with had the room at arrival) The facilities are dated, the restaurant options are limited. Overall it was fine for the first and last night on our vacation but would not recommend for a longer time.

The property and room were clean. The pool area was nice but could have had more lay out chairs with padding. I was disappointed that there was no beaches. The water surrounding the property is full of crocodiles. We felt very safe on the actual property and it was gated. Nothing was in walking distance. Very long dirt road to get to the property. The staff was friendly but did not go above and beyond. They did not have coffee in the rooms and coffee wasn’t available at the restaurant until 8 am. There was only one restaurant with limited food and it did not open until 8am. Most of the flights leave early so there was no opportunity to even eat. There is no beer on the property at all for purchase. Also, they put the recreation room on top of the bedrooms and so we could not sleep all night because people were being very loud . They should put the room in another area

The restaurant had run out of food. One of my dining companions ordered taco’s and was shorted a taco. I questioned the cook and they agreed and said it would be deducted from the bill, only $1. Due to allergies the only thing I could have was a smoothie. This was our major meal of the day, a two hour long disappointment. I did ask at the desk if the lounge served food or drink and was told the property is owned by Christians so no alcohol would be served on premises. I said some Christians drink and was told they must be Americans, disdain in tone. A store is 7miles away. I checked the lounge. No food or drink. TV, couch, Christmas tree. The bathroom lighting in the cabana was on the switch to the rest of the overhead lighting, no night light. It was dark, needed light to use the bathroom during the night. We left a wall light on with a washcloth over to dampen the light. The room was clean. The bed comfortable. Day desk operator was pleasant. Checkout a breeze. The shuttle to the airport great.
