The room condition wasn't at par with the charge asked for.

The pictures lied, the hotel is old and not well matained, the chairs in restaurant are full of stains and food and area (breakfast) don’t look clean, the carpets are stained and not clean, the paint is old.
The towels were white and now are beige (old towels)

The cleanliness and comfort were great. Stayed for about a week. The day time services were good. Reliable place for family & official stays. Price is pocket friendly too. Location is a bonus. Recommend this place, if you want a peaceful, home kind of feel.
-No guest internet
-Had a lot of technical issues with internet connection even after getting our room assigned.
-Had problems with check-in. Receptionist said that they hadn't got confirmation email from Expedia, although my stay was confirmed to me by Expedia (Fee had been deducted too). This delayed my check-in process by 3 hours on arrival.
-Had problems with the breakfast: Since Expedia had sent any confirmation email to the hotel they weren't Willing to give a complimentary breakfast that was promised by Expedia.
Goods:
- we had to print a boarding-pass/docs and the staff was useful.
Summary: Not ideal to be booked via Expedia. Not good for international travellers.

I like the location. It's very close to the shopping district and eating places. It is about 10 minutes from Brigade Room, walking distance to Hard Rock Cafe. For my dinner on my last night, I walked to the nearby eating places.

The staff are courteous. The room needs some more improvement. The good thing about this property is that guests are not allowed into rooms at unearthly hours. So it’s safe and secure.

It's not worth the money. It was supposed to be a premium room, but it was extremely small. The next day the pillow case had curry stain marks on it. Even after several requests, they didn't had the decency to change the cover. For the same price the pavilion was much better. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. We wanted to check out the next day, but we penalty would be charged. This careless attitude speaks volumes about the hotel. I stayed in this hotel many a times before and the service was exemplary and I don't know what has happened now. Wondering whom the Hotel caters to now????

Prime location but bit outdated. Friendly staff but felt not trained and again outdated.
Breakfast Food was excellent and staff were very helpful for additional requests to keep my luggage after check out.

Good food, friendly staff, very easy to reach. Rooms are good. But bathroom needs improvement. Shower taps do not work properly. Better toiletries should be provided.

Hotel Chancery, great value for money
I stayed in the old section of the hotel, budget wise choice. The new part looks stunning and well finished.
Food was excellent value. Beer cold. Service very helpful and attentive.
The spa in the basement sorted out my swollen ankles from travelling in 24 hours.
Hard Rock Café (recommended too), Chinaswammy Cricket Stadium and one of the botanical gardens are within 300 metres of the hotel.

A run of the mill average hotel
Not a bad place. Service is good. The food, however, is not. The front desk is not overly accommodating and at times rude. The hotel charges a four star rate for a sub three star hotel
Really big issue with transport as the hotel taxi sent a car wrongly for the day before and expected me to foot the entire bill for 2 trips. Managed to compromise to pay for it the first trip partially and the 2nd trip in full but just to be given the bill at 0230hrs when I arrived at the hotel and the ridiculuousness of the situation put me off my whole trip.
Earlier it used to be a good hotel but things has changed now. Services really gone down in terms of rating. We ordered for the food and seems if was like a bitter one and looks like it was day before food.
Found few problems in the room like leaky taps and water nozzle, dirty bath tub tiles, missing towels etc. surprisingly there are no option of hard bed. Spoke to the Duty manager about these when I checked in on Sunday and when he was unable to resolve wanted to speak to GM but he refused to connect me with him. Stayed there for 4 days and reminded the duty manager and he. Said the GM will call but the GM never spoke or any else from the senior staff even apologised for the shoddy room. Never again to this hotel where the GM and other staff is unconcerned.
Fairly descent hotel with great location and access towards all directions....value for money as well...

Was asked to vacate room...
In one of my very first experiences, I was actually called up in the room on the day if my departure and asked if I could vacate my room since there was another guest waiting to check in. I had requested a 12:30pm checkout and I received the call at 12pm.
It was disconcerting to say the least.

The bedsheets had an odour. Food was awful. I believe they passed on Plain filtered water as RO Water. Cashier refused to credit Miles to my AirIndia account although they are tied up with them, on the plea that the booking should have come thru AirIndia , not hotels.com
