I stayed in this Holiday Inn with my service dog, Bella for two weeks. I can NOT say enough positive things about how well each and every individual that worked here treated us! They were kind, caring, personable, helped with any thing I requested promptly! I literally felt like we became family! They reached out to me when I left items in the room…. How often does that happen?! I will DEFINITELY be staying here each trip I make to Big Rapids! Thank you all for the amazing experience!

I was just going to let all the cobwebs in the one corner of the room next to the nightstand go, he's after 10:00 I was tired about that of the world but we're not proceeded to go into the bathroom and get into the shower and there's a big dark curly hair right in plain sight on this in the shower on the ledge right where you put your soap I had to go down and say something. I took pictures and showed the front desk of the hair and all the cobwebs at which point they offer me to move rooms but I was already unpacked and already showered it was late I didn't feel like packing everything back up and switching rooms. I would have much more appreciated a complementary free night or a refund. Through obviously wasn't clean well. I have a quite a bit for work usually stay in Big Rapids three to four nights a month and thought I would give holiday to try versus what I usually stay at. Very disappointed with that Holiday Inn location. I feel like I would have been better off going down the road and spending 60 bucks on a room versus the hundred plus I spent on the Holiday Inn. The location was convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful. It appeared location was getting remodeled? Parking lot and entry were in very bad condition and in disarray.

Location perfect for why we were in town but the room was not cleaned appropriately When you find cob webs, dust peeling paint and hair on the counters and in the shower it makes you wonder how well it was really cleaned!!😳

Great place to go and relax after a long day of driving & family. Swimming pool hours were great! 6:00 am - 11:00 pm. Room was clean. The only issue we had was the toilet plugged many times in a 1 night stay. Bathtub drain was slow as well. Everything else was wonderful! Would definitely recommend.

Overall we had a very nice stay. The hot tub could use an update, which in all fairness, might be part of their ongoing renovations. The continental breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly. I'd definitely stay there again.

Overall the staff checking in and put were great. I had to wait several times for the night staff until they got back to the desk. It was extremely short staffed, he had so many things to do (I assume because of his absence from the front desk)Sometimes a key would work...sometimes it did not. The hallways and rooms gave me a slight "motel" feel. The worst was for me was around the hinges of the toilet there was stuff. Around the bottom of the shower mold. We disinfect when we use hotels. However, i had to dig around the toilet lid to remove whatever that was. I suffer with asthma and allergies and i have had difficulty breathing ever since staying there. I could not even eat breakfast. Oh yeah, I tried using the phone in the room. There was no way to reach the front desk. The phone was not labeled at all. I travel a lot. This was not as bad as the REDRUM Comfort INN in Ohio, but it is up there. Let me say they ladies checking in and out were extremely nice. Although it has been a week, they still have a hold on my account. But the check in and check out staff were very nice. Sorry Holiday Inn Express, but this was a bad one.

I like that it was centrally located in tiwn and close to university. Did not like one of the elevators was down for maintenance so had to wait longer. Phone was not working and had some garbage on the floor in the room when we checked in.

Hotel and room were both ok but still showing signs of a bit of wear with regards to furniture and rugs. Could turn the cleaning up a notch also in terms of bathroom caulking, spider webs in behind doors and furniture. Bed was also ok but was really looking forward to a more comfortable bed as experienced in other Holiday Inn Express hotels and would’ve like to have had nicer toiletries including a softer t.p. Overall it’s an ok hotel - a bit over pricing but better than somewhere else.

It’s so hard to find places where you feel everyone is smiling when you walk in. This definitely met expectations. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Kindness goes a long ways and I can’t express how great it was the way all the staff was from checkin to breakfast to check out.

The air conditioner was broken and the pool water was cold and the toilet wouldn't stop running. There was no maintenance man on site to fix those issues but the staff that was there did their very best to make us happy.
