Never stayed because of the conditions of the property
Didn’t rent it because it wasn’t fit for renting and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else

Perfect for our Groups Accommodations
Overall, the home was perfect for what we needed. Proximity to Birmingham Southern College and Legion field made attending the World Games activities a breeze. The neighbors were very nice and it's such a nice small street, there were really no local issues at all. The property owner was VERY communicative leading up to, during, and after our stay. We had some issues which were responded to immediately. The only reason the listing accuracy received 4 stars is there were some nice touches in the photos that were not present when we arrived. Other than that we would rent the home again if the situation presented itself.

Spacious place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this property in Birmingham. There was a lot of space for everyone to sleep and the a/c was nice and cold.

Disgusting home/unsafe neighborhood
Could not believe this was listed as a VACATION home. Staying there was no vacation. The neighborhood appears to be "transitioning" downward. The neighbors have bars on their windows. Nextdoor appears abandoned. Did not feel safe to be outside the house at all. EVERYTHING was beat up and dirty and we killed 3 roaches in the short weekend we were there. Sent my son to a hotel($ we didn't plan on spending) b/c the pullout couches were so disgusting. Would have left if we could have. So disappointed in "Patriot" Family Homes. This property was completely misrepresented and has no business being a vacation rental.

Hi Robin. I appreciate your feedback. I can ensure you this neighborhood and home are safe. All of our homes are on regular pest control, so I am sorry for your experiences with the bugs. We strive to provide a 5-star experience. If an issue arises during your stay, we are available to remedy the situation. The pullout couch has been replaced for future guests. I am saddened to hear about your experience and hope we will get the opportunity to host you again and give you a 5-star experience.

Disgusting
The place is dirty on the outside and the inside isn't much better. With curtains for doors, old dirty and damaged furniture, etc... We refused to stay here and they refused to give us our money back! We called them the minute we got there and they refused to help us, and even when we said we were not going to stay there, the refused to cancel our reservation.

We have never had any problems with our neighborhood. It is in the historic district so there of course will be some older run down homes. We have never had any security issues or concerns and we think our neighborhood is great. I am so sorry you had such a negative experience, that is definitely not the first impression I want to give any of our guests, I would have absolutely tried to find a resolution for you had you come to me during your stay. Unfortunately since these issues have been stated past check out there is not much we can do.

Short stay for a funeral
This was an excellent choice for 6 of us to meet up and stay for a funeral. The house is clean and has everything you need. The hostess was just a call away if we needed anything and I really appreciated that. 6 of us included were my husband and myself along with his parents and 2 sisters. I will definitely stay here again when in Birmingham.
