Booked this place before I read some pretty negative reviews about it, was slightly apprehensive but the stay turned out to be fine. I agree with some other reviews that this is more a one-star than a four-star place. The room could definitely use some refreshing but the location is great (near the lake, some restaurants and shops, and there are supermarkets within a short walk), and the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and polite, and breakfast was ok. Found it overall acceptable for the price. If you prefer something nicer there are other more pricy options around the area.

Very good location in Lake Bled. Small and intimate. Only complaint was we had to pay cash since we didn't pay in advance and no warning was given. Close to good restaurants and easy walk to lake. Breakfast was average.

Lovely little hotel near lake Bled. Very kind and professional service. Convenient parking. The room was comfortable and clean. They only accepted cash, of which they didn't inform beforehand, but that was not a big issue.

Paula and Jasa are great hosts. The renovations to this historic building are great. Accomodation is very comfortable. Location is very good. We would certainly stay here again

If you have no expectations then this is ideal
Hotel was dated, expensive and staff looked like they didnt want to be there. Not sure where 4 stars came from , should be a 1 star Breakfast was dry and coffee rank Good location though thats its only plus

The staff here are lovely and helpful, willing to do early check ins. Parking on site is very useful, since the hotel is very close to the center of activities, the lake, and is reasonably priced for the location. One caveat: the family room was awful cramped and hard to spend much time in. But what does that matter? You should be outside anyways.

Great lodging for a few nights!
Staying at Villa Bojana was a nice, affordable experience overall. The rooms were well cleaned--albeit quite dated for a four star hotel, and the breafast was delicious. The service was excellent as the staff is very informed of public transportation, excursions, and restaurants in the area. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Bled. Recommended!

Great place to stay
Nice hotel. Great friendly staff. Treated us like family. The breakfast was perfect. The owner gave us many helpful tips on visiting the area. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful Bled!
We had a lot of fun exploring Lake Bled and Vila Bojana was the perfect place to end the day. Quiet rooms with a balcony for fresh air, the staff was courteous, breakfast delicious (cheesy scrambled eggs!), And the rooms clean and spacious. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and stay with them.

this hotel looks dated. when you walk in the room, the ground which I think is made from wood makes a lot of noise. Breakfast was not good at all. the only good thing is the location of the hotel

The hotel is alright but more expensive than other better hotels. They only accept cash payments! Who carries €200-300 on them for hotel payments?! There is no lift so its a few flights up. The breakfast is alright. The locations is great. Overall value for money was lacking.

Very dated, rooms lack decor, shelving brackets hanging from wall in bathroom where shelves have broken or been removed. Upon arrival, was informed they accept cash only (which was unexpected and I recheck listing and did not see posted anywhere. Weak WiFi. Breakfast mediocre. Only positive was easy parking. Not a good value.

Dont stay here! It's over picked and overrated.
THEY ONLY TAKE CASH! This was NOT posted anywhere in the hotel or on the web site. The place hasn't been updated since the 1980s. The breakfast was lacking at best.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but delicious. For the price this hotel can’t be beaten. Location was perfect. It was overall a pleasant experience.

The location of Villa Bojana was excellent and the staff were all very nice and friendly. The hotel itself is nice, although a bit older. There is no air con, so it was quite hot in the room during our stay.

This hotel was in a great location to the attractions at Bled, you could walk everywhere. Greg tried very hard to accommodate us and make our visit very comfortable. The downside was this hotel was dated and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and they fan ran constantly and there was mold in the bathroom. With all this said, is was good value for the money we spent.

Price, location and breakfast deserves the higher marks but advertised free WiFi had a open public access and below standard. We were surprised that was no soap in well presented but run down bathroom. They proudly displayed 4 star rating but it needs a lot of work to get to that standard.

At check in, I was told that it was cash only, which surprised me, since I booked on Expedia. I was told that there was an ATM opposite. The hotel decor is old and kitsch but it is well-maintained. You could film an 80s-set movie here! I've never seen gold shiny bed sheets before, either!

Handy to all important Bled activities
We arrived quite late and emailed with the owner several times - he was most flexible and was still awake when we arrived! The room and facilities were fine, if a bit small, but you get what you paid for, for being central. Close to the lake - 8 minutes walk. Close to town - 50 metres! Great parking and hotel flexible with our activities the morning after regarding parking - mot appreciative as there is NO parking in the town to speak of.

Lake Bled is great. Vila Bojana is ok.
Lake Bled is fantastic. Vila Bojana is mediocre. Required a cash payment which was not expected. Location relative to the lake is good, at about a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was ok. No air conditioning. Ran a fan all night which was ok. Cost was fair. Parking onsite which is good.

Perfect location and friendly staffs.
The location can't be better- only 5 mins walk to the lake and 2 mins walkt to the bus stop. Bled is very small, so everywhere is within walking distance from the hotel. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. The room is big, but very basic and old.

Location!
I loved my stay here. Location is awesome you can even see the lake from the room balcony. The staff was nice and Frank even recomended a great restaurant for dinner. In the morning breakfast was ready on time and it was great. The only thing I disliked is the bathroom. It had no ventilation so the smell wasnt pleasent. We were on the second floor dont remember the room number, it seems the shower door broke and was removed but never replaced. The space is very small and you can obviously tell there should be a door. The entire bathroom floor got wet and thats probably why it doesnt smell good either.

Bled joy
The location is great and nice easy walk down to the lake and several restaurants. There is a fair amount of parking in the back. The view was great. The room was comfortable but always had a funny smell in it. Not really sure what it was. The only downside was in the morning on the weekends the bald man that was missing teeth was rather loud and rude. I dont know if he had a bad day or what but in general it made for an unpleasant atmosphere. Everything else was great but it should be noted that they do not take credit card so I had to go to atm and get euros out to pay.

Great Hotel, Excellent Staff and Close to Lake
My group of 5 travelled to beautiful Lake Bled towards the end of July 2016. We arrived very early in the morning and despite the hour we were graciously welcomed to Hotel Vila Bojanna. The hotel is conveniently located 3 minutes from the lake and main town area. Our rooms were spacious and equipped with everything one might expect including fresh towels, toiletries and extra fans etc. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were instantly hot and very powerful, excellent for unwinding after a day of water based activities. Breakfast was served each morning and although I often arrived as breakfast time was finishing there was never an issue with taking my time. Breakfast itself was great with a fine selection of croissants, cereals, breads, meats and eggs. Each staff member is extremely approachable and genuine. Throughout my stay I had many conversations with them about the local area. Frank, who works the day shift, was extremely friendly and wouldn't hesitate to sit with us and discuss places to see and activities to do. This I felt was a wonderful touch and really added to our enjoyment of the area and it's people. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of my peers and will definitely return.

Pleasant hotel in good location
My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is very good - just a short walk downhill to Lake Bled. The staff were friendly and the continental breakfast included several options.

Good Hotel in Bled
The manager of the hotel takes great pride in his hotel and it shows. The room was comfortable, clean, and bright. Breakfast was a typical European breakfast. Our room was next to an outside balcony where my wife would sit. The hotel is about 2 blocks off the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The villa was about 1km walk from/to the bus station but it's manageable. It's close to a lot of restaurants and the lake. I arrived earlier than the check in time but Frank was very nice - he cleaned the room for maybe 10-15min and let me check in early. While I wait at the dining area, I was drinking really good, strong coffee which he made. It was so nice of him considering it was raining and a bit chilly outside. He helped me with my luggage up to my room. The room was really big, I booked a Double Room but he gave me one with a double bed and a single bed. There's a bathtub, a ref, a mini bar, and cable TV (English channels!). Frank also recommended places to eat which are really nice. Breakfast includes the usual bread, meat slices, egg, cheese, cereals, fruits and really strong coffee. One improvement would be the wifi, it's just a bit slow in my room. But for everything else, it's perfect.
