Visited Boston to attend my Granddaughter's college graduation. I was very impressed with the staff. Very professional and friendly. The hotel is centrally located in Downtown Boston. I was able to walk to restaurants, Emerson College, Boston Commons and even to the Boston South Station. However, I was truly impressed with the pillows - amazing! Slept like a baby. Highly, highly recommend The Godfrey Hotel Boston.

Great hotel - close to everything. Was able to check in early. Room was clean and comfortable. Had a street room but didn’t notice/mind the noise - staff asked prior to check in. We walked everywhere needed to go. Love coffee shop. Will definitely stay again.

We booked a room, we showed up a bit later than normal check in due to flight delay. We were told we received a room upgrade. They placed us in a corner room facing Washington St. All night the first night there was a trumpet player, not Godfrey's responsibility, but annoying when trying to sleep after a flight. First thing we noticed was the bed was roughly a foot off the ground. The second thing was the pillows were not full, down feather pillows, as soon as you laid your head down it would instantly make contact with the mattress. All four pillows were like that. Third thing we noticed initially was the toilet did not flush. Some times it would flush with one attempt. Other times it would be two. And finally sometimes you had to hold the handle. The last thing we did not like was the very small room, very little space. We did get a king sized bed, but have stayed at other hotels with king sized bed and did not have this limited of room. Again knowing that what happens on the street is not the hotels responsibility, but being close to the Washington St and having a loud disagreement between police and locals outside our room wasn't great the night before our flight home. Had an alarm set for 6 am and was woken up by a dozen squad cars, sirens and yelling at 1:30 am.

Great location and friendly staff. One improvement would be to add some USB ports in the room as the universal charger that was there did not work, and there was no convenient outlets.

Great Hotel Downtown, centrally located for walking and connecting to the “T”. Staff is fantastic! Coffee house attached to Hotel!

The staff was absolutely fantastic. There is a bartender named Terrell and he is absolutely amazing. Great personality and very friendly. The only down side to this hotel is that it is located next to a night club and the windows are no where sound proof. You could hear the music they were playing until 2 in thw morning.

We were in Boston for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. This hotel was close to a lot of great dining, shops, and historic sites. Uber was super easy to get around. The hotel had a cute little coffee shop where we had breakfast most mornings and got a bit of work done. Beds were comfy!

Beautiful hotel, great location, very attentive staff. Be aware that there is a.”resort/urban fee” that will be added to your bill upon arrival. It apparently makes the hotel pricing more competitive on sites like Expedia and you will not see it unless you read the fine print! There is no way around paying this fee. There was no justification for this fee, other than one free drink at the bar, and I believe they had a total of four bicycles that could be used around the city that you did not have to pay for. There are snacks provided in the room, chips, cookies and bottled water that you did not have to pay for either. I guess adding these resorts/urban fees is a very common practice so it was nothing out of the ordinary for this specific hotel. Overall, I would stay there again!!

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Love the vintage staircase - gives the hotel that rare, not too corporate feel. Comfy, quiet room. Coffee shop on first floor was a MAJOR plus. The welcome drink was nice too & our bartender was a real deal nice guy.

A central location, close to Boston Commons, Historic Landmark and lots restaurants/cafes. Hotel is in the heart of downtown theater district. The hotel staff were amazing (attentive and friendly). You're immersed in the sounds of the city yet comfortably settled into a cozy room when its time to turn in.

Brilliant location - a few minutes walk to Boston Common and subway - and in the heart of theatre land with great bars and restaurants. Staff were brilliantly friendly and efficient - only negative point was the very noisy air conditioning.

The valet parking was excellent in the congested downtown area. Even though we were not able to use them, staff provided free drink tickets and was very friendly.

Nice hotel, greeted at the door and treated with excellent customer service throughout. The room was bright, very clean, comfortable bed and great coffee facilities. The amount of clothes storage space was disappointing, my wife and I had to use our suitcase for some items. I was disappointed that when checking in I was not reminded about city tax as this came as a surprise. The hotel response was it’s on your online booking. Apart from that I would recommend staying here

The hotel was very well located to shopping and food venues. It was also located down the street from the Red line and Orange line T stations which made getting around easy. The only complaint was my room location. I was on the second floor with a view of a busy street. The noise on Friday and Saturday night made it very hard to sleep. Next stay I will ask for a room on a higher floor.
