Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your stay and experience at our cabin. We appreciate your comments, with specific mention as to the "really good value". Gary and I recognize that the average person is struggling with economic challenges; with costs of everything going sky high. So we try and keep costs as low and reasonable as possible. This is challenging for us as fuel/utility costs keep rising, along with property taxes, etc. But we try to focus on our guests and their experiences: from the initial booking of their stay, through to their last day with the check-out process. Based on the average reviews left by previous guests, they enjoyed the experiences of peace and relaxation in nature. They enjoyed the ability to get away from every day hustle and bustle, and the stresses of every day life. Based on this feedback, we feel we have accomplished our goal. This is what we strive to hear from our guests. With respect to our other properties, we currently have 3 cabins on the Vrbo website, with the 4th we hope to complete in late Fall. Renee, thank you for your review. We take our guest reviews very seriously and have worked very hard to become Premier host. We are sorry our cabin did not meet your expectations. There is no way we want guests to find cobwebs in every room. This is a cabin that is very rural and a cobweb may be missed here and there but should not be everywhere. We’ll discuss this directly with the cleaning crew. As far as the island, I don’t see where we described it inaccurately and I believe we provided enough photos of the inside of the cabin that they represent what the cabin has and doesn’t have as far as furniture and a layout. Concerning the ability to cook a meal, in the 55 reviews we have received from other guest, you are the first to indicate that there was not enough pots and pans etc., to cook a meal. We will do a kitchen inventory, as it is unfortunate that some guests do help themselves to items inside our cabins, so it is possible that some items may be missing. Concerning the fireplace, we state in the amenities section of the Vrbo website there is “A fire pit outside and an electric wood stove inside”. We have never portrayed that we had a wood burning fireplace within the cabin, so we apologize if you feel that you were misled. That is not how we operate. We do our best to describe what our cabins have and do not have. We have no idea what smell you are referring to inside the cabin, so I’ve sent our maintenance crew to make sure nothing got spilled or that there are no issues with the furnace etc. Lastly, it’s true, we do not supply a lot of items for children in our cabins. There are decks of cards and a couple board games and a few movies as you indicated. Children today have many options available to them and most are electronic devices that they bring with them. That said, we are not opposed to reviewing what we do have and adding a few more items. We do want our guest to have a worry and carefree stay with us. We’ll evaluate your concerns and if we can improve, we will and we hope you’ll consider staying with us again. Regards, Gary and Dawn
