I didn’t like the black damp in the room, hairs in the bathroom sink or the carpet that hadn’t been hoovered.

Lovely location. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was good. The building was very hot and no option for thinner quilt. The bathroom needed some attention with mouldy grout. Limited menu for bar food and the property is a little tired. No USB in bedroom which is a bit of a basic in this day and age.

The hotel is located beside the Severn, with views across the water toward the South Wales coast. The hotel is old and needs redcoration in places. Staff were friendly and efficient. There is a lift available if required. We were on the first floor and prefered the stairs. Our room was an executive double, quite spacious and clean but there is a distinct lack of electric points close to the bureau. Large bed, good linen. Lights were either wall lights of desk lamps. Bathroom had an over bath shower. Clean and serviceable. Bathroom floor had a quirky slope to the floor. Breakfast was a good slection of cereals and fruit. Hot self service buffet from a varieity of ban-marie dishes. Good value money hotel.

Thankyou do much for hosting my Mum's Celebration of Life ceremony, party and dance. All good and personally a fantastic room upgrade. Great views over the Bristol Channel. Recommended.

Lovely traditional seaside Victorian hotel.
Really lovely location. Stayed for a night 'sans kids' where all we were looking forward was a peaceful place to stay, within walking distance of Clevedon's restaurants. We weren't disappointed! The hotel itself is a bit old school with old school 70s doors, swirly carpet in the hallways and unfortunate upvc windows which don't do this character building justice. However our standard room was really comfortable, had a great view of the sea, was quiet and the bed was super comfortable. My only regret is that we didn't opt for breakfast. It looked pretty good and we probably spent more in a local cafe.

Clean and friendly BUT very noisy!
Staff very friendly and hotel room and bathroom clean but very noisy. it was quite windy when we stayed and the old windows were rattling all night. Plus the floors are old wooden floors and when someone was walking in the room above us it was like a herd of elephants! Didn’t get any sleep at all.

Comfortable enough. Clean but old and stains. Needs a bit of a facelift. Shower needs looking at, no power. Small rooms. But pleasant enough. Food lovely and breakfast really good.

Hotel is somewhat dated in the common areas. My room was evidently more recently refurbed although the curtains were tatty and didn’t meet in the middle (fortunately I had a sea view so there was little danger of anyone seeing in)! However it was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable, which were more important requirements for me.

Arriving in the dark the parking was not the easiest and having to get up a slippy slope to the reception was not great. The staff were amazing. All areas that we saw were very clean and orderly. Breakfast was fairly limited but very nice. The biggest disappointment for us was the room itself. Very dated and the floors were not even, especially in the bathroom where there was a definite slope! The shower was very small - luckily we are small people but even we were a bit claustrophobic! So it really was a stay of two halves - partly great but the other part really let it down and it didn't feel like very good value for money. So sorry but we won't be staying again.

The best view in Clevedon
A well positioned hotel with friendly staff and a good restaurant. I would recommend a top floor room as my first floor room was subject to quite a lot of creaking from above - a hazard of lovely old buildings!

Unfortunately, I had an awful stay here. The property and rooms are old and dated and are very much in need of improvement. Noisy corridors and lots of noise from floor above. Poor shower with weak water pressure. TV had no signal. Plugs not in usable places. Carpet and bathroom smelly. Called reception numerous times about noise to see if there was a quieter room - calls not answered.

Beautiful location. Amazing Safe. Such a wonderful outlook from the hotel. The hotel has maintained the historical feel while now catering to its guests. Our room was lovely, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Hotel is in a lovely area with beautiful surroundings. Lovely old building with sea view and gardens with seating areas. Room was very basic and did not live up to expectations after seeing outside of hotel. Needs refurbishment. Mattress very hard. Staff not helpful. Asked about a taxi when leaving and given a list of numbers and advised they don't book taxi's for guests, which I found most unusual. Hotel is okay for an overnight stay. Breakfast was fine.
