Take advantage of relaxing in the hottub and experiencing the Falls.
The inside of the cabin was clean. The hottub experience was not so good. The temperature was luke warm and the jets shut off after 10 or 16 minutes and would not come on again. I thought maybe the temperature had to be warmer gor the jets to work. I covered it up and thought they might of not got it started too long before we got there. Next day Tuesday it rained Sun came out about 4:00 p.m. So me and the kids went to gat in hottub temperature was 98 but after 10 mi utes jets turned off and would not come backon. I conta ted Connie she responded quickly and said to give her 30 min. She would be there. She explained about a reset button out at the front of cabin. The water was low so while she was there we added water but now we would wait for the ne xt day fiqured it would take till then to warm up. That was Wednesday. The temperature was only 88 jets were working. I like it warmer but the kids can take it. We did not get back in. Thursday hiking till late when we got back. Friday morning I was going to get in hottub I tried still only 88 and I got out. The 5 year old was already complaining of an ear ache and they all had to go to the clinic after we got home. I believe the malefunction of the hottub not holding the proper temperature, adding water the woul change the chemical balance

When Connie came over to fill tub after use she said it was dirty and that would indicate the children misusing the hot tub. The 4 adults that used it previously related no issues and temp was 104. When you fill an electric hot tub it takes up to 24 hours to heat up especially with cold weather. The tub does not have a leak. I keep my nightly rates and cleaning rates low. I do not charge extra for hot tub use because I can't predict weather changes or how my guests will use the hot tub. I'm sorry you were unhappy. Connie and Chuck were both there to help you.

A slice of quietness
I want to thank personally the owner who was so cooperative and so beautifully on target with any questions that we had to offer to her for answers and she would communicate with us in just a matter of hours, maybe even sooner. Sometimes depending on her schedule but to rent from her was an absolute true story about her living conditions being clean up to date and very accessible once you were able to find the house. Me being not from that area I had to learn. That's the only reason why I'm saying it's hard to for me and me only to find us diamond of a place. I want to thank her personally with this story and I'm also looking forward for a long relationship with coming back. I want to thank, VURBO for allowing her to post her house on the website they were just as easy to deal with anybody looking for a quiet place to relax and I hear a great place to fish and going into town is really an exciting adventure. Have a great vacation with the owner. I can't say enough good things about her. Thank you for having us stay at your home

Perfect couple getaway!
My husband and I traveled down to Burnside for our 5th wedding anniversary. We don’t get many days alone as we both had children when we met and had one together later. The house and facilities were clean and neat. I LOVED the safety of the gated community. There is even a little fire pit on the property! Our favorite part though, was the hot tub. Perfect for easing muscle aches the days we went hiking to Cumberland Falls and DogSlaughter falls. The owner made sure she was readily available to us for anything we needed and left numbers for housekeeping and maintenance (which we didn’t need but appreciated being available to us). We really enjoyed our stay. I’d love to bring the kids back with us and go check out the Cumberland Falls Moonbow in the future.

Labor Day Weekend getaway
Property was just as listed. Hot tub was awesome, pool was just down the street. We had a fire pit for s'mores. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

What a great cabin!
We stayed 2 nights and loved it. This property is beautiful and piece full. My family loved it. They have everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Overall a very nice place to have a great family vacation!

Family gathering
The cottage was cozy and clean. We really enjoyed our time together at our stay. Hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. We were sad it turned to cold to go swimming but we looked the pool over and agreed it looked like fun. We come down the same time every year and will speak to the owner to stay once more. You can't go wrong staying at this cottage with it's warm cozy feely.

Enjoyed our stay! Decorations needed a littlle updating still a little Christmas feel. There were burn marks on carpet in living room and sink in bathroom. Hot tub lights didnt work. Minor things. Would definitely come back!

Family Trip to Kentucky Mountains
The overall experience was great! We really enjoyed ourselves. We made some great memories playing pool and hiking at the nearby Cumberland Falls. We went to a restaurant in Whitley called Dairy Bar and everything was homemade and their ice cream was delicious! The hot tub was a great addition, just remember to check the temperature when you arrive and keep the tarp on while it heats up and you’ll be good to go! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good but could be better
Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay. But the dishes and the towels could use some updating. The hot tub needs fixing and leveled and the pool tables needs leveled. The couch in the basement was dirty. I'm not a picky person but if you're gonna rent something out it should be neat and clean with everything working

First time I have had these complaints but I will make corrections where needed. Actually just purchased new towels and sorry that couch wasnt clean. I was just there and didnt notice it Always welcome positive and negative comments. Glad you had a good time .

Birthday and fall break
We wanted to get away for my husband's birthday and my fall break. The cabin was very clean, cozy and had everything we needed! Our kids and our 1 year old grandson joined us. There was room for all of us and it was a nice get away! Super place, super host!

Was nothing short of amazing! Everything at/in the cabin was just as expected! Tammy was very responsive the whole time! The location was great, and we enjoyed playing pool and having a fire! The only downfall was that the hot tub never got fully up to temperature so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub. Maybe next time! Overall, I was impressed and our group had a blast!

We had a great stay. Host was very responsive to messages. Home was clean and well stocked. Pool table was definitely a plus. Resort pools were great for all of us. Close to the lake. Offered suggestions of places to eat and get supplies etc. easy to find. Would stay again!

Honeymoon stay
Gate one was not marked at all! We spent twenty minutes looking for it. The hot tub didn't work. A gentleman came to fix it but it never heated above warm bath water. When we decided to get in and try it, the hot tub automatically turned off. The hot tub was the main reason I chose this location. We were very disappointed.

Sorry you were dissapointed . I send renters specific directions because GPS will send you to exit of gate one. I agree that the resort could have a sign when you come into resort and I will make that a suggestion at our next meeting. The maintenance guy is available 24/7 and yes it sometimes kicks off and you have to push reset button on front porch electrical outlet. .

For anyone reading this myself , maintenence or my housekeeper was not made aware there was an issue. I checked it on Sunday prior to visit and the hot tub was working . I'm sorry renters were not happy with your stay and the weather was nasty.

Nice weekend get away
This cabin worked well for a quick get away weekend to southern KY. The description of the property by the owner is accurate. There was plenty of space for three adults and good hiking nearby. Hot tip for the next person staying: the general store is a quick walk and has the best Tennessee Whisky, caramel ice cream.

Quaint remote getaway
We really enjoyed our weekend at this cabin. We had a bit of trouble getting into the gated community (GPS directed us to Gate 2 instead of Gate 1) but once we figured that out and found our cabin we were set. The cabin is compact but clean and well-stocked. We appreciated the little extras like liquid hand soap in the bathrooms, dish soap, throw blankets, camp chairs, and hair dryer. We made dinner over the campfire one night (some non-breakable dishes would have been a bonus for outdoor dining), enjoyed the the hot tub after a day of hiking, and taught our daughter how to play pool. The community is rather remote, but we were able to visit several hiking spots from there in an afternoon.

Nice Get-A-Way with the family
The location was a little stretch up the mountain. But we wanted to get away, and it was perfect for us. The hosts were great and were able to answer all of our questions. We spent most of our time outdoors, but when we were at the cabin, we had everything we needed. Bonus, the WIFI allowed my kids to get their homework done. The cabin was not glamorous. But when you go out for a nature/hiking/fishing trip, luxury isn't the plan. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking to get away.

The house was comfortable and roomy. My family really enjoyed the pool table however there was only one cue that had a tip. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking.

We had a wonderful stay that at the Adam's family cabin.we has some rain but other than that it was beautiful. Most things are about a half hour away. There is lots of things there. Cabin was fully stocked with bakeware,plates cups and silverware. Pool table was a hit. We had great communication with owners and had no troubles at all. We would definitely consider staying again. Thank you

Never wanted to leave
My daughter and her cousins loved having their own room to be just girls. The house fit our needs perfectly, from the sleeping arrangements to the pool table that the kids enjoyed playing to the hot tub on the porch with the view of the forest. We loved being secluded but still within a decent distance of everything, from Mammoth Cave to the Shelatowee River Adventure, to amazing trails. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and the neighbors were very sweet. We enjoyed the access to 3 pools and the dock where my son fished. Didnt want to leave and would definitely come back.

The place was exactly what we were looking for and had everything we needed. The gate codes were a little confusing and changed but as soon as I contacted owner she got me the new code. It was a little far up but made it feel like we were in the mountains with the lake close by.

Great Place
Exactly what my family needed. Home had everything you could possibly need. My family of 5 had more than enough room. We could have comfortably fit 4 more people!! The hot tub was nice in the evenings, and the swimming pool was great as well. There were 2 grills with gas provided, tiki torches, and even wood in the fire pit for us. I can not say enough good things about this place. The only issue we had was a wrong gate code, but it was sorted out quickly, and a groundskeeper helped before I even had time to call the owner.

It was a great cabin to come back to after hiking. Our boys loved to pool table. We also enjoyed the nearby pool one day. It had plenty of space for our family of 4!
