Beautiful Location
Enjoyed the facility it was very nice. I was a bit further away from the area of Elizabethton than I had thought. Other than the distance of drive to Elizabethton everything else was very enjoyable.

Mountain hideaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the property once we found it. Make sure you arrive for the first time in daylight as the roads are hard to navigate if you are unfamiliar with them.

Serene holiday stay
My partner and i stayed for a week and would like to come back sometime in 2024. The house was super cozy, with lots to do right there. The views of the lake were incredible, since the trees had no foliage and we were able to see far down the lake from the porch. We brought lots of wood and enjoyed warm fires on the back porch after dinner. The hot tub was clean and a nice touch on cool evenings. The owner was very responsive and provided a very detailed binder that answered any question a renter might have.

Cute house on the lake!
The house was very clean and accommodating. It's tucked into the woods in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed Watauga Winery (great pizza) and Villa Nove Vineyards for great wine and amazing views. The house had an outside fireplace that we used each night. Dollar General is very close if you run out of something but take your main food items as a grocery is far. Past reviews noted wifi was spotty but we had excellent signals. Would definitely come back again!

Loved Our Stay at Lakefront Butler Home
Absolutely wonderful stay at this home. Conveniently located right on the water. Tastefully appointed with wonderful decor. Just a great layout with plenty of room for three couples and two pets. Kitchen was well stocked. Great outdoor fireplace on the porch and an additional firepit. We also loved the hot tub. Open and quick communication with the owners for any little question we had. I highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Watauga Lake stay
This was an amazing getaway! The house had everything you would need. Felt very comfortable and homey! We used the pedal boat and hung out on the dock. Also enjoyed just sitting on the deck overlooking the water. Peaceful and relaxing.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband & I have been wanting to stay on Watauga Lake for a long time when we discovered this beautiful home! Unfortunately for us the weather was unseasonably cold while we were there. So we didn't get to enjoy the lake but instead enjoyed the hot tub & fire place outside! Even though our trip didn't go as we planned we still loved this house & all the amenities! We will definitely book this house again in the future!

Beautiful house- outstanding views and amenities. Love the access to the lake, brought our boat with us and were able to explore the lake. Kids loved the outside fireplace and the hot tub. Would go back without hesitation.

Bristol Weekend
We went down for the races at Bristol Motor Speedway and had a great time. Since the races were at night, we enjoyed fishing and relaxing during the day in this beautiful home.

The house is very clean and just as described. There have been improvements made to the dock which made it much nicer to get on dock. There are a lot of stairs - not for the faint of heart but worth it.

Awesome Secluded Lake House
Beautiful lake home, super clean and well equipped. Outdoor fireplace, Hot tub and firepit we awesome. Lake is absolutely gorgeous. The view from the decks make you feel like you are in the tree tops. FYI - there are lots of stairs to get to the lake. We were fine with it, but if you are older or have bad knees you may have some difficulty. Definitely make a reservation at La Cucina, delicious Italian food.

First Tennessee visit
House was just as described. Well stocked; perhaps new cooking utensils?! Master bed was very comfortable. We recommend grabbing some firewood before getting to the house. In Hampton stop at Browns hardware; $6 per small bundle.if you travel through Johnson City TN on your route stop at The Fresh Market for amazing smoked salmon and Wholefoods type experience. Several days trip to Boone NC touring the quaint towns around. End your trip at Grandfathers winery for a great time and possibly the nicest people in Tennessee!

Enjoyed the week. The location was treacherous to get to…the road was very narrow and in most places could only accommodate one vehicle. The 130 stairs to get to the dock were way too difficult if your not young. Definitely not recommended for any kind of disability. But the home was lovely and very comfortable.

We use Vrbo and other travel services often but this is hands-down the very best place that we have stayed in mountain or beach. Communication with owner was Phenomenal in everything was perfect. Crystal clean with high end luxury’s and everything you could ever dream to need. We bought so many redundant things thinking that they would not be in stock but we were wrong. We look forward to a return trip next year

A great get-away home on the lake
Clean, well-maintained, well-appointed rental with great amenities: indoor/outdoor fireplaces, fire pit, hot tub, paddle boat, kayaks, and dock for fishing. Perfect get away home on the lake for a family of 6. Only downsides we experienced was poor wifi (no data) and the main TV wasn't working with limited cable. But if you are looking to unplug from technology, this is the place. Given the current crisis which has necessitated dependence on technology, it was inconvenient but not a deal breaker for me to give it less than 5 stars. Highly recommend!

Just what we were looking for
The house is great, just like the pictures. It has everything you might need, and then some. There’s a hot tub, paddle boat, kayaks, fishing poles, life vests, water toys, you name it, food/water bowls for our pooch, you name it The house is a little tricky to get to, being on the side of a hill, but it’s amazing once you get there. There were 3 friendly doggos that would visit, Darla is the most well known. We were looking for some time away (not just for covid-19) and this place was perfect.

Quaint little lake house on the mountain
This house is kind of the best of both worlds - you’re on the side of a mountain and right on the water. The house is very clean and well decorated, with a decently stocked kitchen. Large wrap around deck was nice. Large shower in the master bathroom can easily fit 2 adults. Indoor fireplace gives a nice ambiance. It is pretty remote, at least 20 minutes to a grocery store; so worthwhile to bring all your groceries in with you. There are 3 dogs that come around several times a day looking for food. This was a little annoying especially if they try to ambush you when going to the car. Note for parents, there is no bathtub in the house. There are several child sized chairs which my kid thought was really cool to push up to the fireplace.

Great house.
Love the house. One of the best remodeled houses we have stayed in the Appalachian mountains. Loved the outdoor fireplace and secluded area. Not excited about VRBO booking. We selected pets and this usually includes price of bringing our dog in the total. Apparently the management company Evolve required an extra pet fee. This was not included in the original instant booking price on VRBO. We felt trapped after payment taken. We did enjoy the house with no issues, but VRBO or Evolve need to fix their booking issues.

RELAXING ON A BEAUTIFUL LAKE
THIS BY FAR IT THE BEST HOME WE HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF VACATIONING IN THE MOUNTAINS. NOT ONLY IS THE HOME ABSOLUTLY PERFECT IT HAS BOTH THE BEAUTY OF THE MOUNTAINS AND THE LAKE IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT. THEN THERE IS "DARLA VISITS EVERY MORNING WHAT A PRECIOUS ANIMAL WE ENJOYED HAVING COFFEE ON THE DECK AND VISITING AND FEEDING SNACKS TO HER IN THE MORNINGS. IF IT COULD BE BETTER VACATION SOMEWHERE ELSE WE HAVE NOT FOUND IT IN THE 25 YEARS WE HAVE BEEN VISITING THE MOUNTAINS. WE CAN ONLY SAY THANK YOU FOR A GREAT TRIP WE DO PLAN ON ANOTHER TRIP. We checked in to find the property was described exactly online how we found it to be in person it was amazing from the first step in the door. It was big enough to suit our large family and all of our children. With activities to keep them busy from day tonight & a Kitchen equipped to keep everyone happy. We visited this location the week of Thanksgiving & the only thing we missed was the snow. From the fireplace, Corn hole & hook game on the back deck to the gas fireplace in the living room that you could turn on with the touch of a button.. Not to mention the amazing view you get to wake up to every morning from the master bed. It is a gorgeous view of the beautiful mountains, tree tops & lake. We also were greeted by the neighborhood dog Darla & her two friends she brought with her. Whom ended up becoming part of our daily ritual from our morning breakfast scraps to our evening Smore scraps. I would definitely recommend this Beautiful, amazing one-of-a-kind getaway cabin to anyone looking to make memories & have an amazing time in the Tennessee Mountains. The only thing that I would warn future guest about would be that the drive up & down was a little sketchy in our 28ft RV to the cabin from the main road. (Kite hollow rd).. Thank you to these owners for creating such an amazing place for anyone Looking to make amazing memories to last a lifetime. We will never forget the time spent on your property & cherished every moment. Thank you again.

House was as shown in photos. Clean and neat with beautiful views of the lake. We did a lot of cooking and a lot of much needed R&R! Rented a pontoon boat for the day and just relaxed at the lake with a picnic lunch. We would rent this same vacation again. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home!

It was our family's first visit to this lake or even TN. The property was just as described. Comfortable, clean, exterior areas were in great condition and the location on the lake is super quiet. We were prepared for the many flights of stairs and considered it our way of working off the treats we were eating. Wifi was available and we had no issues with speeds. We'd most certainly return. It was one of our most relaxing vacations.

Beautiful Lake House!
This beautiful house is on a picturesque cove on Watagua Lake that makes for a wonderful stay for any season! You can hang out on the dock on a hot sunny day, sit in rocking chairs on the porch if a rainstorm blows in, or warm up by the fire pit or outdoor fireplace on a cool night. We loved our stay and recommended it for any season!

Perfect Lake House!
This house is incredible - it is beautifully renovated/decorated, very clean and super cozy! It has everything you could possible need and more - extra blankets, rollout cot, lots of pots/pans, fishing gear, kayaks, etc. The homeowner was very easy to work with and clearly wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The lake is awesome - we had a blast! We will be back and would definitely stay here again! :)
