The property manager was excellent in responding to requests I made regarding items I needed like a new broom and such. What has not happened is the 2 day refund I've requested because my dog became sick and I cut my stay short by 2 days. I've still not heard from the owner about the refund! The house was right on the lake so the view was lovely. However, due to the large brush and debris that hasn't been cleaned at the edge of the lake, we didn't go down the steps into the water. It was way too risky! I'd suggest the bushes and debris be cleaned so access to the lake is available without walking down to the property managers house to get in the water. The property manager and his wife were friendly and accessible. We rented kayaks for the day at a very affordable price. I won't be going again because I'd like more access to water and a pool without driving to the state park for pool access.

Peaceful with gorgeous view
This house is perfect for spreading out and sitting outside on the back deck. Gorgeous views and access to the water. We also rented a boat from the host and that was our favorite day. We brought most of our food and everything we needed for meals was available. Saw lots of wildlife and the variety of birds is stunning. Would highly recommend for those looking to slow down and unwind.

This place was so fantastic. Exceeded our expectations. The views are amazing and we enjoyed just sitting on the deck taking it all in. We will definitely be back. We had a toddler with us, so a baby gate for the stairs going up would be helpful. Not sure if that’s an option or if there are enough folks traveling with toddlers to care- but that’s my only criticism! We enjoyed the place being stocked with toys for the kids, extra blankets, and just an overall family oriented place. So gorgeous and our best trip yet.

This house is in a perfect location for getting some peace and quiet. Our first time to LBL area and we were very happy we stayed here. The view was great and the home was comfortable, conveniently stocked, and clean! We would definitely like to stay again in the future.

Great Place to Stay
The house was a perfect place to stay while visiting the Lake Barley area. The views from all the rooms were just as described. House was one of the cleanest we've stayed at before and after the pandemic. Lucas was very accommodating with even our smallest request. Having our morning coffee and evening wine overlooking the water could not be beat.

Wonderful Place!
Highly recommend. Lucas is an excellent and attentive host. The house is right on the water. Excellent virws. Great place for a family with a master suite at second floor and 2 spacious bedrooms at walk out lower level. That, plus there was so much for us and the kids to do within a 15 minute drive.i.e clean beaches, nature center, bison prairie, etc. Had a great time renting a pontoon boat for a day as well. Peaceful brilliant sunsets
Check in with Luke was a pleasure. Great guy! Enjoyed our time on the deck being far enough away from the water to take in the full view. We were also close enough to have our boat docked just a minute walk away. Mimosa trees kept us entertained with hummingbirds. And the sunsets were off the charts gorgeous.

Perfect Trip
This was an effortless lake adventure. All we had to focus on was the fun! Lucas Hale is dedicated to his customer service oriented mission. We also rented a Pontoon from enjoylakebarkley dot c0m (literally across the street from the property) everything was maintained, and ready to go. I have stayed at hundreds of properties across multiple countries, and this has quickly become one of my favorite destinations.

Lovely house at the Lake.
Our experience with this rental was excellent. We really enjoyed the place. the house is very nice, good location and perfect for 6. All mentioned on the site is accurate. The upper floor where master bedroom is located is very big and comfortable; perfect if you want to spend some time reading or resting . Main floor also is nice and the view is wonderful. You have everything you need if you want to cook as it is very well stocked with pans and everything you need for cooking. I recommend to anyone and if i plan to return to this part of Kentucky i will return to this house by sure.

Wonderful space and location!
We had a wonderful time and loved being at this location right on the water. Beautiful views (day & night), quiet neighborhood, peaceful and relaxing. It did not matter that it wasn’t boating or swimming season. Sitting near the water, fishing, walking along the shore, visiting the Land Between the Lakes attractions. It was all great and soul-feeding. We will be back!

You are paying for the view with this property, it couldn't be any better elsewhere! View=great House=decent I thought the cleaning fee was excessive but I guess Covid19 is to blame.

Beautiful place on Lake Barkley
The place is fantastic! Views from the balcony are going to stay with us forever. Unfortunately, we came during the willow fly (mayfly) season - happened this year on July 4th, so at the evening by the water it was swarmed. But it didn't take away the entire awesomeness.

Loved the location and VIEWS of this property. Perfect for a weekend to celebrate a soon to be bride! Spent our days out on the water and then chilled out on the deck and enjoyed the absolute beauty the back deck offers over the lake.

Travelled from Nashville for the first week of school being out. Great, spacious house with awesome views, especially at sunset. Good boat dockage, quick bike ride across the bridge to LBL, and convenient shopping for necessities. We appreciate it, and had a really nice time.

Great quiet getaway
The house was great! We needed to get away from the world for a few days and this house and location were great. Very quiet since it sits kinda on a peninsula. You walk down the stairs and you're right in the water. It's right across the bridge from the Land Between the Lakes National Rec Area. If you like to hike, fish, boat, or just sit outside and stare off into space, this is the place for you. Lucas was great and answered every time I called/ texted. And Haley was super nice explaining the pontoon to us and where we should go on the lake. Definitely would recommend and will hopefully make this an annual trip.

House was unique and had amazing views of the lake. It was super easy to find house, access and know what required to check out. Minor complaints were things like grills too dirty, windows filled with bugs which impacted views, lightbulbs out. Otherwise we had a great time and made some great family memories.

Lucas get's 5 stars. He went out of his way on all of our needs, The best property manager we've very worked with! PRO's: The basement rooms were much larger than appear. We had the single bed, trundle bed and an air matress (and crib which we didnt need) and their luggage and no one was tripping over anyone. The other room not sure why that's not a king plenty of room. Sitting on the deck was wonderful! CON's: The kitchen needs a deep cleaning and the refigreator need to be pluged in. Right now it's on an extension cord and we didn't realize that we had accidently switched it off with our bag and by the time we realized it was becuase the fridge was warm and all of our milk spoiled. But it didn't ruin the trip, it was fine. And we didn't feel safe swimming there but luckily Lucas let us use the zero entry beach at his place a few doors down which was Wonderful! CONCULSION: I would recommend for a family stay.

Perfect for families with young children
My family and I had a wonderful time! We only used the two bedrooms downstairs. One was outfitted with a crib and a daybed/ trundle which was perfect for our 3 year old and 4 month old. There were even toys, which really delighted my daughter. Lucus was quick to reply to all questions via call or through VRBO messages. The pontoon boat we rented from him was clean and Lucus gave thorough instructions. Check in was easy and the view of the lake was amazing. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall the place was exactly as advertised. The manager was very avail by cell or text at anytime. Boat was easily accessible. Upon returning boat we were told there was damage to prop. In hindsight I should of checked blades before departing. The place advertises it sleeps 10, but it sleeps 7 adults if you include the couch in main den.
