Pros: Location
We liked our stay however we had booked a room by the pool side and we got a room with a view on the parking.

Really basic and a bit far from town

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We've stayed at different places throughout Provincetown for the past 15 years. First time we have tried Surfside. Motel-type rooms -- basic and a bit cramped. They only give you one bar of soap. The staff was pleasant. Don't think we will be going back

Fantastic value & stay!

Great location, atmosphere, and stay! Short walk to endless amounts of fun. Room with an ocean view was well worth the small price increase. Updated room gave it a modern clean feel.

Comfortable and Convenient

Posted May 28, 2014
My partner and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. We had never been to Provincetown before and wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to the center of town but not so close that we would be annoyed by the loud nightlife. Surfside turned out to be only a 20 minute, peaceful walk to the heart of Commercial Street which was perfect! Surfside also has a private beach attached to the hotel which is also lovely to have. Other things we enjoyed... the wicked comfortable beds, the cleanliness of the rooms, easy parking, the morning breakfast (helps you save some money, as food is VERY expensive in Ptown, and the fireplace where hotel guests gather at night.. a perfect time to make friends! Looking for total and utter insanity on Memorial Day weekend? Then stay at the Boatslip. Looking to enjoy the nightlife but want peace and quiet at the end of a possibly drunken evening? Then stay at Surfside. Much more romantic. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Clean, not too fancy, middle of the road hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Location, parking, cleanliness
Cons: In room soaps and amenities, the quality of the beds.
Location: The hotel is an easy one mile walk along Commercial St to the center of town. It was a very walkable location with a restaurant or two nearby.
Recently, my boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to Provincetown. Apparently we were on the tail end of Women's Week, so availability was tight all around. I was a little disappointed that we weren't able to get a single, queen sized bed. When I asked, I got a flat, apathetic reply from the front-desk person. She wasn't rude, but neither was she glad to check us in. The rooms are thoroughly clean. I am a neat freak and I appreciated that the bathrooms, carpets, bed linens, TV remote control, etc were all thoroughly scrubbed. I was hoping for a bit more in the way of amenities. We were given a single bar of soap to share between bath and sink use. There wasn't even any lotion. Since the packet of shampoo and conditioner came with a coupon, I wonder if it was taken from a promotional mailer! We had a room by the stairs. It was a full weekend, so I guess there probably weren't many options. If you have a selection, make sure you aren't near the rickety, noisy wooden stairs. This is a fine hotel to stay in if you're not so picky or there isn't much selection available the week/end you want to go. You will be fine here for a night or two, but you will feel like your $200+ could have been spent better elsewhere.

Very nice spot fairly close to center of town

Posted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: Complimentary breakfast was very nice. Pool is clean and pleasing.
Very quiet spot 15 min walk to town center but with many galleries to view while walking. Restaurant across the street as well as all along the walk to town. Will definitely stay here again. As for as the room. It's as good as one can expect being a beach access and pet friendly room.
