I paid for Superior Apartment and was checked into a standard apartment which was very discouraging till I managed to realized I was in the wrong apartment, then I screamed at the management. That was very heart breaking after paying so much.

Parking in a private garage was nice. It was very hard to charge devices bc plugs were only in the kitchen. Trying to use electronic hair device was very difficult. Room got very very warm and we ended up sweating both nights we were there. There was no fan or ac. Location was central which was nice. Staff was friendly.

I have enjoyed staying at Icon Apartments several times over the last few years and felt that on this occasion the apartment was rather tired in appearance and the cleanliness was not up to previous standards. Also, there was no washing machine, which every apartment is advertised as having. It was still good value but left me feeling a little disappointed on this occasion.

Icon Apartments in Cape Town really is Home from Home. This is now my 2nd stay in the apartments & is the best accommodation in Cape Town. The location is perfect for everything Cape Town has to officer & last and not least the staff are the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish for! The building has lots of potential, but I had a problem with the water through out my stay . On the first night the shower pressure was extremely low. The water literally trickled from the shower head . I notified the front desk of this problem and it was remedied 48 hours later. The same day the the shower was fixed, the city shut off the water in the building . Water service was restored 28 hours later . The front desk did provide bottled water , but this was very inconvenient. When the water was restored to the apartment, the shower didn’t work properly again. Maintenance came and it was discovered that there was sand in the pipes that prevented water flow. Maintenance managed to fix the problem , but once again this whole ordeal was inconvenient. The front desk and management communicated as clearly as possible throughout the water debacle and provided bottled water when there wasn’t any water in the apartment. The water worked appropriately on the last two days of my seven day stay. Housekeeping was adequate, but they should pay more attention to detail. The doors and walls need to be cleaned and the vent in the bathroom should be dusted. Everything else was fine. If the water was working properly, this would have been a wonderful stay. My apartment had everything I needed and the view of Table Mountain was spectacular.

We stayed in the penthouse apartment. It was absolutely stunning. The food court down stairs was very convenient as well. Over all loved the staybhere and would definitely come again. Rafea was wonderful and friendly! He made us feel right at home.

An excellent choice
The apartments are quite large and quite well equipped. Try to get an apartment with a view. Parking is excellent as is the Wi-Fi. There is a very good food court in the same building where you can buy provisions or sit down for a meal. All in all – an excellent choice

SAFE & CENTRAL
Central location ... safe, clean and comfortable with free garage parking which is a plus in the city. Lovely Food Lover's Market on the ground floor so self-catering not an issue. Also a few paces from the MyCiti bus stop so very convenient. I'm a regular and I think that I have stayed in every permutation of accommodation ... This time I stayed in a studio apartment. I will never get used to the layout with the bed being in the designated kitchen area ... feels strange. Still good value for money though. The one-bedrooms marketed as studios have an even more bizarre layout with the bedroom used as a dressing room and the bed in the kitchen so go figure... Also, duvets don't fit the beds!!!

Fantastic location, helpful staff, beautiful spacious apartment with 2 balconies. Free parking. A very, very minor negative.... lifts a very busy but I'm nitpicking to find a fault. Plenty food options at Ground Floor. This was my 2nd time staying and intend staying again. Very secure.

Not the most comfortable stay
Upon arrival the parking area was difficult to locate. We were upgraded to a superior room, however the room's aircon did not work and we struggled with the heat. We raised the matter with reception at 7.45am, no one bothered to call us and let us know that the aircon could not be fixed. Eventually I had to go to reception at 6pm, whereupon I was given a fan. The plug points in the room is awkwardly placed for charging phones. We extended our stay and was moved into a standard 2 bedroom which was inconvenient. Had we been originally put in a standard 2 bedroom, we would have not have to have packed and move our bags, and more importantly the standard 2 bedroom was a better apartment than the superior 2 bedroom. The reception staff were friendly.
