“We were a group of eight visiting the area to attend our son’s graduation from Berry College and the location was perfect; an easy 45 minute drive, well worth it to spend the majority of our time relaxing by the lake. The layout of the house provided both privacy and family gathering space. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating and the large table space for meals and games. The upstairs area was wonderful for our kids to hang out and they loved the kayaks! David and Michelle were wonderful...

“We stayed at the Grand House to celebrate my father in laws 64 th HS reunion. He is from Fort Payne and has a long history with the house. It was very nostalgic for him to return and relive memories with my husband and sister in law.. Everything was great. Beautiful house”

“Perfect for family of 6 adults. We love to cook and enjoyed the convenient kitchen completely furnished with anything you could possibly need. Cooked out on grill too! Plenty of room for us all to be together comfortably inside and out! One person needed the chairlift due to knee issues. That was a bonus!”

“The Away Place was amazing. It was exactly as described. It was beautiful with all the amenities. We chose to stay in at the cabin and enjoy the back deck and hot tub. But if weather had been better, the lake would have been great for kayaking and fishing. There are kayaks on the property. There are plenty of outdoor activities close nearby as well as restaurants. “Let me start by saying this house was amazing! The layout was great. The house itself was brand new with all new appliances. Awesome hot tub on the back porch. On the cooler evening it was great to relax in. Ping-pong, basketball and a video game in the garage. Bedroom are very spacious. Especially the primary bedroom. Massive walking closet and its own full bathroom. I have more work to do in Rome here soon. I will definitely be coming back to stay here. Highly recommend giving this house...
