The hotel staff was exceptional… They were in quick and close communication with us before I stay and throughout the stay. The apartment/hotel well, within a 10 minute walk to all the popular points of interest and right next-door to a coffee shop that opens around 8 AM with great food and coffee! If you have a car, getting to the hotel is very tricky with very narrow roads, but we got lucky and found a space right by the entrance. That may not be the case for everyone. It is definitely a city for walking versus using a car. The bathroom was very clean, with toiletries, etc. Our only complaint is the bed was a little hard since it was more of a pullout couch style, and there was some mold on the wall by the window. Otherwise, we thought the hotel was exceptional!

I never wanted to leave this property. It was the height of excellence and beauty. We’ve travelled extensively and this property is in the top 3 of the hundreds of hotels we have visited in 40 years. Breakfast in the garden was such a beautiful experience.
Hotel is walkable to many restaurants and historic monuments. The main stop for the Hop on, Hop off bus is just across the street allowing for easy tours of the city attractions.
Would recommend GA Palace to everyone.

The property itself was in a perfect location. It was only a five minute walk from many of the main things that we wanted to see in Porto. Also, the room was very clean and it was nice having a kitchenette. However, we did not have hot water the first two days that we were there which was not good! The hot water was eventually fixed but it did put a damper on our trip. Also, the room was freezing! We had the heater on all day while we were out and continued to freeze all night. We would’ve used the spare blankets but they were very old and had stains of them. Keep in mind that the WiFi is awful!!!!! We couldn’t use it because it was so bad.
It was an alright stay.
