Great location right on a pedestrian plaza. The rooms were immaculate and nicely furnished. Parking was under construction, but we were afforded front door parking for our motorcycles. Only difficulty was finding the parking. GPS navigation called for driving up the pedestrian plaza, vice the road behind hotel.

very nice hotel, right in the middle of town on the main square. You can hear the fountain and nice music. Very nice experience, for sure we will stay here again.

הזמנו מראש חדר זוגי משודרג כשהגענו למלון נאמר לנו שאין חדרים זוגיים אלא רק מיטות נפרדות, כל אחת בפינה אחרת של בחדר . החדר עצמו לא מזכיר אפילו את החדר בתמונות. שטיחים מלוכלכים, חדר אמבטיה מיושן, ממש לא חדר ״דלוקס״ שהוזמן. אפילו בקבלה אישרו לנו שהחדר שבתמונות הוא הסויטה ולא החדר שהזמנו . רק לאחר התערבות של הוטלס הסכימו להחליף לנו חדר. לא ממליצה על המלון ולא על השירות. היתרון היחיד הוא המיקום במרכז העיר.

Historic building, quiet rear courtyard
Historic building reconstructed, clean, modern with some historical finishes remaining. High ceilings. Rear courtyard was quiet I was able to sleep with the window open. Didnt see air conditioning but a fan was already in the room. Room was spacious. Location of the hotel was very central. Decent breakfast, would return in the future.

Fantastic Hotel. All you want clean ,comfy.
The Arcade hotel is a lovely old building, the staff are friendly &helpful. The room we stayed in was clean,spacious and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. It is situated in Banska town,we stayed during the christmas market and we heard minimal noise from the market. We will definatley be returning to hotel Arcade, a great place.

Lovely space, great location. Could have benefited from a little more attention to detail - ex staff will leave a coffee cup in the room uncleaned if there’s a spoon nearby. Maybe cultural. Also listing in accurately states there is no parking A if you ask they will let you into the gates parkade for free.

Lovely old hotel
A last minute booking. Great location and funky hotel. No lift but staff took my heavy case up and down stairs after offering - very nice. Only difficult thing for me was no air conditioning due to historic building etc. while I feel sorry for hotel as lovely as are staff this would make if difficult in the height of summer! Area is nice and quiet but got me still too hot even with window open!

Lovely old buildings with lots of history...right in the heart of the action....good breakfast with polite staff..would stay again...no air conditioning but big windows and a fan worked. Clean and roomy...could here the bells from the church and music from the fountain.....

Historical building & fantastic location
The hotel is in a beautiful historical building with high ceilings in a fantastic location in the very center of Banska Bystrica next to sights, restaurants, cafes and in walkable distance to SNP museum. It has a private parking for hotel guests which is very helpful in the city centre. The room was very nice and clean. There is no elevator though, so this should be considered if it's an issue for someone.

No lift and very high floors, we stayed on 3rd it is over 100 steps. Not very advisable for older people or restricted on mobility. Very hot weather during the stay and no air condioning

Good pit stop on way to Kosice
Only stayed one night but hotel is nicely situated on town square and has interesting features as hotel has a long history. Breakfast was included and we were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel generally.

Front desk was very helpful in changing our reservation. Free parking was a plus. Location on town square was super. We recommend you stay here if in the area.

Location on the central square is great. The staff were OK, but had somewhat limited English. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, but we were able to find an alternative close by that was satisfactory.

Good Spot when travelling through central Slovakia
Small UNESCO town with lovely main pedestrian square makes Banska Bystrica a good stop when travelling through central Slovakia. This hotel is simple but well run - rooms are spacious, clean, and our bathroom had been recently upgraded. No elevator - nice big staircases... Parking (free) is in the back of the hotel on smallish gravel lot. You'll need to put in "Jána Cikkera 3 Banska Bystrica" into your GPS to get to the one-way access street behind the hotel. Many decent restaurants on the square itself. Breakfast is included and is typical for the region (yogurt, cereal, deli meats, breads, juice, coffee).

Cozy hotel at a great location
Nice hotel in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the village with a lot of surrounding restaurants. The only thing I may criticize are the courtains which did not really darken the room in the morning.

Everything was correct, nice, tidy. Location is ideal for exploring wonderful old city center, hotel itself is partly in very old building with arcades. They have their own car-park and it was free.

Great location, but overpriced and no lift
It is a nice hotel but overpriced and has no lift but very steep and long staircases. It is in the excellent location facing the main historic square in the very centre of Banska Bystrica. In our triple room the TV, attached to the wall, can only be watched sideways if you sit on the bed, therefore I gave 4 for the comfort of the room. On Friday evening there was a loud music played under hotel until very late.

FINE HOTEL IN THE HEART OF TOWN
HOTEL WAS NEXT TO THE MAIN TOWN SQUARE WHICH WAS IDEAL FOR ME.THE HOTEL OVERALL WAS AN ATTRACTIVE MIX OF OLD AND NEW.NICE BREAKFAST ROOM WITH PLENTY NATURAL LIGHT.MY ROOM WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND SPACIOUS.TIP:IF ARRIVING IN TOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME BY TRAIN ALIGHT AT THE MAIN STATION AND TAKE A TAXI TO THE HOTEL AS YOU MIGHT FIND IT A LITTLE HARD TO FIND IF YOU'RE NEW IN TOWN.THERE AFTER IF YOU'RE TRAVELLING AROUND BY TRAIN THE HOTEL IS A SHORT WALK TO THE SMALLER MESTO STATION.I ENJOYED MY STAY HERE AND WOULD HAPPILY RETURN.

The stay was very pleasent in all aspects except for the fact that we were booked in a room on the second floor which would have meant lugging heavy suitcases up a total of 62 stairs. Although I, and others, consider me to be in very good phyisical condition it is not a good idea for me being 76, or any senior to attempt that kind of excercise. There is no elevator of course. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel but I would be sure to mention these drawbacks. I think that "hotels.com" should place a strong emphasis on these deficiencies so that there are no surprises.

Egy nap az Arcade-ban.
Nagyon szép helyen, a főtéren található a szállás, a szobánk is arra nézett. A szoba hatalmas, tiszta, nagyon kényelmes ágymatraccal. Nagyon finom a reggeli és megfelelően választékos. Sajnos lift nincs és légkondícionáló helyett ventillátor segíti a melegtől való enyhülést. Az épület ódon, így a falak vastagak, így a nagyon meleg is könyebben elviselhető ventillátorral. Ami kis kellemetlenséget okozott, hogy a szobában lévő vízforraló nem működött, mert nagy kávéivók vagyunk, és nagyon jó lett volna használni. A szálloda parkolója kicsit messze van a szállótól.
