The St. Elmo Abode is a newly-renovated two bedroom, one bathroom duplex, located in the heart of St. Elmo! This community is made up of a diverse mix of tightly knit neighbors. Our cozy home is ideal for anyone looking to explore the many exciting experiences just around the corner. Just minutes away from the Incline Railway, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Guild-Hardy Trails and downtown Chattanooga. Please note that this home is on a main street where traffic can be busy at times.

There are 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower combo, functional, well stocked kitchen, and a living room suitable for up to four guests. Located steps away from the St. Elmo Playground and the Chattanooga Riverwalk. We have limited parking available. No more than two cars are allow. Do not block shared driveways or any other garage door other than yours.   *If you are traveling with a group of up to 16, check the availability of the other homes in the neighboring duplex, St Elmo Haven and  St Elmo Hideaway, St Elmo Escape to consider booking all four homes!

Great Place...but...
My brother and I (and my two dogs) enjoyed staying at this cute duplex across from a lovely park. It's just minutes from downtown and was very comfy. One minor complaint is that I found the door lock confusing, but a quick phone call fixed that. I typically don't complain about much, but perhaps I caught the host in a bad mood. The few times we communicated she was brusque, rude, and inflexible. No one ever checked to see if we were okay or if we needed anything. Others have indicated they found the host lovely, so maybe she just didn't like me. I also spoke the the host's daughter-in-law (about the door lock), who was quite pleasant. Not a deal breaker, but it wasn't how I wanted to start our weekend away.

Great location with more than enough room for 2 adults & small dog, clean rooms, and a comfortable bed. Would have liked a few more amenities/updates - firmer living room couch/chair, toaster in kitchen, and couldn't use laptop with wifi available (maybe that was my inaptitude).

Communication with the landlord was great. They accommodated our early check in request. The location was ideal for what we were doing in town with our two kids under 3. The park across the street is a bonus. We would stay here again. I did think the place could have been cleaned better. Specifically the bathroom. Our towels had hair in them. And the curtain could use a replacement. The mold needs to be cleaned out around the bathroom tiles etc. I’m sure the owner will address these issues.

It was exactly what we needed in a home away from home. We're already planning on staying here again next time we're in Chattanooga. The playground across the street was great for our 1 year old to stretch her legs too. Would recommend to a friend!

Cute duplex
We really liked the area of St. Elmo! This property is right across the street from a really nice playground, if you have young kiddos! My teenage daughter and I stayed here for a local travel softball tournament. The house was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, but I thought the pillows were in need of replacing. We didn’t bring animals with us, but the house is set up for pets. All in all, it was a good little house and we would stay here again.

The property was in a great location for the sites we planned to visit, literally minutes away. We were aware that the property was pet friendly which is why we chose it, however I don’t feel there was adequate cleaning prior to our arrival as there was a significant amount of pet hair on the sofa (covers) and table. The rooms were nice size and beds comfortable. Overall not a bad stay!

Awesome Getaway
I had an absolute great stay, it felt like home. It was myself along with my 2yr old daughter. There were toddler games and puzzles under the TV stand as soon as we walked in. My daughter and I had a blast with that entertainment! This stay is closely located to everything (restaurants, incline mountain, aquarium, ruby falls, riverfront park, etc). The pictures are accurate and the place was very clean! We are planning a trip back and I will definitely book this getaway again.

Nice duplex!
I was very comfortable during my stay. It’s an older property, but seems well-maintained & is nicely furnished. I didn’t cook, (other than using the microwave for popcorn!) but it looked like there was enough kitchenware to prepare meals. I did make coffee every morning, & the owners very kindly provided Dunkin Donuts coffee! Also, since I was traveling alone, I must say that I felt very safe both in the duplex & out in the surrounding area. St Elmo is very close to Lookout Mtn & Ruby Falls, as well as some trails, & it doesn’t take long to drive to the downtown & river areas. The owners have a notebook with suggestions for eating & activities in the area. There’s a crosswalk in front of the property that goes over to the park across the street; nice for crossing, but also made it easier to know where to turn into the driveway!

Sweet little spot
We came to spend the weekend with our son and found this b sweet little hidden gem. It's nestled at the bottom of Lookout Mountain and and directly across from a beautiful park. The owners are super friendly and helpful. The house itself was very nice, clean and spacious. We had a great time. We will definitely try to stay here again!

St Elmo is fantastic
Amazing stay, this family has hosting figured out. The house was spot on amenities were fantastic. Location is perfect, park right across the street if you have little ones and access to the Guild Trail right behind park if you love hiking. Only a short drive or walk to restaurants and grocery. Actually made me fall in love with Chattanooga.

Perfect for the weekend!
St. Elmo Getaway was the perfect fit for our weekend getaway. Very clean and great location. We were just a short drive to local attractions and great restaurants. There is also a park across the street that my daughter enjoyed. Definitely recommend this property!
