Fantastic location and lovely hotel - super comfy and spacious, and also very quiet for a good nights sleep. Close to the Chunxi road area where there are many shopping and dining options, and also a metro station, but it’s also easy to walk from here to different places around the city. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection also good.

My room was upgraded for free. It was kept at a very cool, comfortable temperature for summer. The bed was of perfect balance between firm and soft. The room was quiet - must be well insulated. Breakfast was great. Service was friendly and efficient.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable! The bathroom was welcoming. I appreciated that the staff was visibly eager to take care of their customers as quickly as they could. If someone was waiting in a line, they were communicating where you would get help and apologizing if you had to wait, even if it was only going to be a couple minute wait.

Great location for a short trip
This hotel was perfect for our trip. Although it’s a little dated, it was spacious and comfortable. The staff helped us with all our questions including ordering taxis and recommending food. The location was great - very central and in the action of the nearby fashion streets, but the hotel and room itself were calm and quiet.

Clean and convenient
Although the hotel is a little bit old and the amenities are somewhat outdated, but the room service was good and things were kept in clean and mint condition; plus the hotel is very close to all the fun places in Chengdu, easy walking distance

I give it 3 star hotel rating.
This is not a five or even 4 star hotel. It is a 3 star hotel at best. Everything is very old specially the bathrooms. I had to switch my room in the middle of the night because there is some one taking a shower next door. And I could hear the shower next door very loudly. Apparently there is no insulation at all between rooms.

Close to everything, mins walking distance to famous shopping street ChunXi Road. However the facilities are quite old, cleanness is fine.

Very nice hotel

Excellent hotel!
We stayed here during a layover in Chengdu. The staff were extremely helpful and managed to get our room cleaned earlier so we could check in earlier than planned. The facilities and room were excellent and the service was outstanding. Restaurants on site meant we didn’t have to venture far for fantastic food. They were more than accommodating when it came to helping us arrange travel back to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. The food was terrific. However, the A/C in the room ( and rest of hotel) did not work or was not switched over from the heating system to the A/C system. Therefore the room was uncomfortable and stuffy

Service in gerenal is very good for chinese standards, the rooms are little out fashioned but comfy. They should control a lot more the people smoking, my floor was terrible in that sense even for a non smoking one. Finally, the breakfast is ok, but the oil smell is so strong that is better to change clothes after, I couldn't go directly to my meetings. They should care a lot that part and improve immensily the air extractions. This is my second time in this hotel, the main reasons are overall price-quaity and location.

Location is great! Close to plenty of food and shopping. Also transport-a-plenty. Rooms are a little worn out compared to the foyer and restaurants but all facilities are there.

Amazing hotel smack dab in the middle of everything. Great shopping right out the front door and fine dining is available in the hotel or just down the street.

good location in the city centre but outdated
great location, lovely food but the hotel is a bit old and out of date, the rooms were dated and showing signs of a lot of wear, not something i would have expected for a hotel of this price/star rating. Internet connection in the hotel was very very slow which meant as a business traveller it was very difficult to do any work.

Great location
Granted that Crowne plaza is an older hotel. But it wins in the fact that it is right smack in the city across from ChunXi area. With this winning location, the train is accessible, shopping plentiful and importantly food is everywhere. There is a food street in the building right beside the hotel. And in the next block you can find the chuan chuan pot restaurant and across the street good Si chuan restaurant.

Great Hotel. Close to everything.
The hotel is large, modern and clean and is close to many tourist attractions. It is a short walk or short taxi ride to many nearby attractions including the People's Park (well worth a visit). It is also less than ten minute walk to bargain shopping pedestrian street, the up-market shops and many great eateries. It is only 25 to 30 minutes by taxi from the Panda Research Station which is well worth a visit Plenty of variety on the breakfast menu including Chinese and Western options. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Location
Old but nice hotel, very nice bar with city view 25th floor. Lobby and general staff excellent. Hotel power sockets are HK style. If they would only replace the carpet and wall paper in hallways and room - these were very poor condition and dirty. Buffet was excellent for foreigners.

Not a pleasant stay
The hotel was super busy with a convention or conference. The carpets in the room were dirty and the non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The bathroom was awful. In the vanity area I opened what I thought was a hair tie but was actually a condom. They put them there for guests. The hotel is located in the center so you are close to a lot of shopping but I wouldn't stay here again.
