“The weather was not particularly kind to us during our stay so the property's great location helped enormously in keeping us dry (being literally metres from the Roman Baths, the Abbey and Heritage Centre). It feels remote and far from everything, just the ticket for a quiet weekend away and yet it's a short drive to the nearest village and very close to Bath. “The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable……

“Very large, spacious house and fantastic grounds. Lots of room inside and out for us to spread out. Facilities excellent. We made good use of hot tube, pool and table tennis tables and the young ones enjoyed the kids play area. Easy access to Cotswolds Way path. Although the property is on the edge of Dursley, the grounds are large, giving the impression that you are almost in the countryside.”

“Yes, this property is 220 years old, but it is magnificent. The living room is expansive and the bedroom is huge. And it is all decorated with care and appropriateness.
