Barn In Beautiful Rural Location 4 Miles From The City Of Bath

'The Barn', which shares the entrance drive with the cottage, is accessed via a single track 'farm lane' and is a recent conversion of just over 47 sq.m. in floor area.

It has one double bedroom and can sleep a further two on the double sofa bed in the living room.

It is well equipped including underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove, fully tiled wet room, stripped pine flooring, exposed beams, free WiFi, flat screen TVs and a fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops. There is a small utility area with washer/dryer etc.

Internal doors are oak ledge and braced and there is a stable door to the main entrance. French doors lead from the living room to a raised patio and a rough paved closed yard with table, seating and barbecue. There is plenty of parking to the front of the property.

We are happy to take bookings of less than three nights but a minimum charge of £300.00 will apply. This means the calendar should show all days as 'available arrival' unless shown as 'unavailable'.

Lovely and peaceful place

Perfect for a relaxing week. It’s just a stone‘s throw from Bath, and also a great base for visiting Bristol and exploring the beautiful Somerset countryside. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Barn with great views in a calm place not too far from Bath. We enjoyed the serenity and the fully renovated and equipped Barn. Felt very relaxing. Thanks for the lovely stock of food provided and the amazing lemon cake. Warm and welcoming hosts. Will definitely recommend this.

Excellent stay

Superb property and perfect location for Bath. Clean, peaceful and the hosts were perfect. Made us bread and cake for our arrival. We got a bus from the village into the city making it super easy but you will need a car to access the half mile single track road to get to the property.

We had the most pleasurable time staying at the Cottage, the host was so welcoming, Vivienne the cake was amazing! The surrounding are beautiful and rural, but only a short distance from Bath. The Cottage was excellent it had everything one would need for a stay away from home.

Great little property in a fantastic location

Would love to stay again. Lovely tidy and well thought through property with great countryside on the doorstep and great access to a number of smaller towns and Bath. Very welcoming hosts. Our dog loved it there too.

Beautiful views, great hospitality

We loved staying here. The idyllic country location inspired us to spend a day wandering the local public footpaths that took us through fields, to local pubs, along the canal, and into Bath. The hospitality was amazing and the accommodations were gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Beautiful build accomodation with all comfort in a very quiet green surrounding

We loved the place and were very much welcomed by our friendly hosts. You can walk in 1/2 ,hour to the bus stop that brings you quickliy in the center of Bath. The view from the cottage is splendid.

Great get away

Fab place to stay for a weekend. The barn was perfect for us and for our dogs. We had plenty of space everything we needed and it was lovely and clean. The host was very friendly. We just loved the kindness of them leaving milk, eggs, bacon and even fresh cooked bread and cake out for our arrival. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Perfect in every way

Absolutely loved it. The Barn is such a comfortable and cosy place and the views from it are stunning. Exactly the place to go to get away from the rat race and enjoy some peace and quiet. Vivienne and Richard are the perfect hosts and we arrived to some delicious homemade goodies and supplies, such a thoughtful touch. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. All amenities were thoughtfully provided, including a very tasty home made loaf of bread and the most amazing lemon drizzle cake ever plus ingredients for a wonderful breakfast. The location is perfect, whether you want to walk the dog or go into Bath itself which is only a short drive away. I would highly recommend the cottage and the wonderful hosts and can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for the best holiday rental ever x

Beautiful property... Unfortunately we didn't get much time to spend at the barn or in the lovely courtyard as we had a busy time but would love to come another time to relax and make the most of it. Lovely greeting on arrival with Vivienne making us at ease. Beautiful cakes and provisions for breakfast with freshly baked bread upon arrival. We will hopefully be back 🙂

This is absolutely a gem. The surrounding was very nice, it's quiet English suburb living. Vivienne is super nice host. The place is neat, the amenities were modern and new. The shed itself looks very traditional. It would be great just stay a few days there. Couple would be ideal in terms of room size. A great find during our trip to UK.

Amazing stay, made our anniversary so special.

Amazing little cottage and the owner was the absolute sweetest. Very welcoming and the cottage was incredible and well maintained, heated flooring in the bathroom which had an amazing shower and a state of the art kitchen which had everything you could ever need. We were welcomed with freshly baked bread and a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake. We also have been given fresh eggs, milk, butter and bacon which was a lovely touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was accompanied by a wardrobe with hangers and a smart TV in the corner of the room. The WI-FI was quick and reliable. There was DVDs and books for all ages and an entire cupboard full of board games. We bought our 10 month old pup with us and we felt safe enough for her to just walk about the garden freely. Theres plenty of walks to do and you really feel switched off from everything. There’s a 10 year old sheepdog there and she was just the cutest and was no bother at all. Just loved a good belly rub. The cottage is just a 20 minute drive away from Bath City centre so you’re close enough to civilisation but far enough to be able to get away and just unwind which was a real selling point for us. Hats off to Vivienne, she truly made it a special weekend away for us and we are incredibly grateful. 5/5 would highly recommend!

What a great place to stay! They lovingly call it a "barn," but it's really a beautifully finished apartment with all the amenities. It's a few minute's drive outside of the city in the picturesque countryside. I didn't want to leave!

Beautiful, tranquil, idillic

Everything about this gorgeous cottage is wonderful. It has been beautifully renovated to provide every possible comfort. The hosts, Vivienne and Richard are so friendly and welcoming without ever being intrusive. I must add ourselves to the growing chorus of fellow reviewers who rave about Vivienne’s lemon cake and home made bread which add to the warmth of the welcome! The cottage is brilliantly designed - modern but extremely comfortable. It’s cosy yet feels really spacious and the outside seating area provides stunning views of the surrounding hills that envelope you like a warm blanket. We loved the peace and quiet that the cottage provides whilst sitting within quick and easy reach of Bath - one of the most stunning cities in the UK. Can’t wait to return.
