Very satisfied with the price point

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Make sure light bulbs are all working and that the heater or A/C is turned to a normal setting.
Location: $10 cab ride to National Harbor MD. Very easy!
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Missing a light bulb in the bathroom but the other 3 were working so not a real issue there - For the price, I was very pleased.

Outdated and Cleanliness issues

Posted Feb 23, 2015 on Hotels.com
I stayed at this hotel because of it was priced much lower than some of the area hotels in National Harbor. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The cleanliness, however, needs some work. The wallpaper, doors, and door frames had splatter in many different places. The bathroom was clean and the sheets on the bed were brand new, so that was a plus. I didn't eat breakfast during my stay, but it smelled delicious walking through the lobby in the morning. The area was pretty rough as well.

It was quiet short, but I had fun with my families.Breakfast was not quite pleasing .my children thought it was included in fees. Not after they got their food they were told is $15.00 per person. It was disappointing because most hotel we've visited ,breakfast was always included.TV system pls change to flat tv for better access.

Not worth the money

Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels.com
My booking said refrigerator & microwave in room which the King sized room did NOT have. So they upgraded us to a King Suite with a comfortable bed and a couch. That was nice, but there were still little things missing or subpar. Plugs were in low or inconvenient places (behind furniture)making it hard for you to use PC or charge phone & bedroom had too few plugs. No night stand on one side of the bed - just an empty space. Water pressure in shower was low and toilet had trouble flushing. Very few TV channels and no channel guide provided. Room cleaning was cursory. The hotel staff didn't try very hard to be helpful, either. The halls look in desperate need of an upgrade (old carpeting & dim lighting). One elevator seemed on the verge of breaking down and it had broken panels in it. We were there during a very cold snap and the spacious lobby and adjoining restaurant were freezing cold. People ate with coats and hats on. Could they not afford to turn up the heat? No discount on the overpriced and mediocre breakfast buffet either, despite the weather. Restaurant staff were very nice and helpful, though. Would probably never stay here again.

Affordable Gaylord Alternate Hotel

Posted Jan 27, 2015
The front desk clerk was nice to upgrade our room to a suite. The room was clean and spacious, but there was problems with the toilet being wobbly and not flushing. The mini frig was in need of freezer being defrosted. Also, smaller bar sink had a loose fixture and drain basket was broken. When I came back to the hotel at 12 AM, the bartender told me the we're closed...I thought she was a bit rude. I told the desk about toilet problem, but did not notice if it was fixed.

Was in town to attend a funeral. Hotel

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Close to Kalas Funeral Home.
Cons: The heating system in room 305 was very loud when it came on. Obviously needs repaired.
Location: Lots of shopping nearby
Experience was ok, was only in room a short time. Late Friday night and left 9am on Saturday morning.
