This is a very nice, clean and comfortable apartment located in the heart of lovely Colmar. You will find yourself immersed in a setting with many shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries and wine shops just outside the front door. As vegetarians, it is often difficult to find variety in meals, so welcome the opportunity to be able to cook our own meals as we did in this apartment. There is a wonderful covered market in Colmar within very close walking distance, and we assembled many wonderful wonderful ingredients from which to prepare our meals. We also ate lunch at a local cafe, and had beautiful croissants and espresso at a nearby boulangerie each morning. From this base, we also tasted wine at a local wine maker, explored the village by day and night and enjoyed visiting Petit Venise.
I would add that the apartment occupies the 3rd and 4th floor, if climbing steps is a concern. One other thing I should mention is that initially the rate for this apartment seemed very reasonable. And I have no problem with a cleaning fee, though this should be explained and included up front. However in all my years of travel to all types of accommodations, I have never been charged an additional fee for bed linens and towels. This charge popped up just the day or two prior to check in. So be aware that the cleaning fee and sheet/towel fee adds a substantial amount to the final bill.
One other detail, there was no free parking.
