Ideal location for visiting Colmar
Easy walk to local sites, shops and restaurants. The apartment was quaint and located in a historic house. Stephanie was very helpful and attentive. We tried 4 of her 5 restaurant recommendations. Each one was an excellent dining experience. We had an excellent 8 day stay. The steep stairs would prevent this being a good selection for people with mobility issues. Clean and welcoming.

Fantastic Place
This place is spacious and had everything we needed. The location is excellent. It does have a bar below and a nearby restaurant so expect some noise with open windows. The hostess, Stéphanie, met us and explained the ins and outs. Thank you for a great stay.

The property was amazing! Immaculate, neat and perfectly Colmar! Stephanie is a wonderful host who made us feel perfectly at home in the half timbered house in the heart of old town Colmar. Just a few steps out the front door to historical sights, restaurants, wine bars, and shops. 5 stars!!!!

Cute central spot in Colmar
Stephanie was very helpful, and the apartment is perfectly situated to enjoy the sights of the town. Even with the warmer weather in July, the windows, shades, and fans kept the home cool and comfortable. We appreciated a spacious home base to relax in each evening. Though we didn’t do much cooking, the kitchen was well-equipped and the washing machine was a huge benefit to us. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to the Alsace Wine Route—just be aware of the stairs!

This is a very nice, clean and comfortable apartment located in the heart of lovely Colmar. You will find yourself immersed in a setting with many shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries and wine shops just outside the front door. As vegetarians, it is often difficult to find variety in meals, so welcome the opportunity to be able to cook our own meals as we did in this apartment. There is a wonderful covered market in Colmar within very close walking distance, and we assembled many wonderful wonderful ingredients from which to prepare our meals. We also ate lunch at a local cafe, and had beautiful croissants and espresso at a nearby boulangerie each morning. From this base, we also tasted wine at a local wine maker, explored the village by day and night and enjoyed visiting Petit Venise. I would add that the apartment occupies the 3rd and 4th floor, if climbing steps is a concern. One other thing I should mention is that initially the rate for this apartment seemed very reasonable. And I have no problem with a cleaning fee, though this should be explained and included up front. However in all my years of travel to all types of accommodations, I have never been charged an additional fee for bed linens and towels. This charge popped up just the day or two prior to check in. So be aware that the cleaning fee and sheet/towel fee adds a substantial amount to the final bill. One other detail, there was no free parking.

Excellent location in Colmar
Colmar lived up to its billing. Great town with amazing sights in the town and surrounding area. This apartment was a great choice. Convenient location in the middle of the old part of town. It is clean and well furnished. Parking is pretty difficult in Colmar but Stephanie allowed us to keep our car at her house which is about a 7 min walk from the apartment.

Wonderful apartment in centre of Colmar
The property is situated in a quiet pedestrianised street in central Colmar within a very short walk to all attractions and amenities. The hosts Stephanie and Olivier went over and above to make us welcome including allowing us to park our car at their nearby property. The property itself was immaculately clean and extremely well equipped and warm in a cold November/ December period. The property is both traditional and homely and was perfect for two couples visiting the outstanding festive atmosphere of Colmar and the nearby Alsace Wine route. Colmar also has railway connections to Strasbourg and Basel. Highly recommended

We loved our stay at the apartment and will be happy to stay there again if our travels take us back to Colmar. Superbly located and walking distance to Petite Venise, minutes to many restaurants and cafes (a one star michelin is two houses away - will definitely try that next visit) and wine/beer bars. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you need including a washing machine, tv with a few english channels, and a few essential kitchen items such as salt and pepper, sugar etc. Stephanie was great in her communications and we parked at her other home which was free! Highly recommend!

A great stay in Colmar. The apartment is an amazing location immersed in the scenery and activities of Colmar. It is a little difficult to arrive/depart with bags due to the very small street the apartment is on, but that is the nature of being right in the middle of downtown. Only disappointment is that we didn't get to visit the highly recommended wine bar right under the apartment. Cheers, Bobby and Jenn

Charmante vacance à Colmar
Très beau séjour rue Schongauer. Nous avons passé 7 jours a Colmar. Malgré la canicule, nous avons pleinement profité de l'appartement et surtout de sa localisation stratégique en plein centre historique. Proximité de tous les services, restaurants, marché public, boulangerie, etc. Même le stationnement pour la voiture au parking Rapp était à 5 minutes de marche seulement. L'appartement était charmant sur 2 niveaux, beaucoup d'escaliers pour s'y rendre cependant s'il y a des personnes à mobilité réduite, cuisine bien équipée, salle de bain très fonctionnelle, laveuse à linge mais pas de sécheuse. Salle d'eau pratique près des chambres, et 2 vrais lits doubles. Olivier et Stéphanie les propriétaires très disponibles et attentionnés, ils nous ont même fourni des ventilateurs additionnels très appréciés pour passer la canicule. Bref, nous recommandons vivement cette adresse pour bien profiter de la belle ville de Colmar.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our children (ages 12,10, 8) as part of a month-long adventure around France. Stephanie met us at the property and explained all about it and pointed out options for dinner and grocery stores on the map. She was so helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English! The apartment is basic but so are most places we stayed in France compared to American standards -- but the charm cannot be compared to anywhere in the states! We used the washing machine and it worked well. France won the World Cup while we were here and we loved walking around town during the celebrations. The apartment was comfortable, super well located, and very reasonably priced. I feel like it was the best value out of everywhere we stayed the entire month. Our kids' favorite ice cream place from the whole month was Isabelle in Colmar (and we ate a LOT of ice cream over the month so had lots of places to compare!). We ate at a good Italian place the first night and then at Le 3 the second night. Both were good. We walked to various places for croissants and coffee each morning for breakfast. The walk from the train station to the apartment was about 10-15 minutes. Stephanie communicated very well before we arrived and returned our security deposit very promptly when we left. You do have to walk luggage up several flights of stairs and bring your own linens (they are available for a fee) but this was very clearly communicated on the front end so was fine with us. This was an A+ rental experience and I would recommend to anyone!

A Great Place in Colmar
We stayed here for seven nights, and it was the perfect place for us. Perfectly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing time. Central to everywhere we wanted to go in Colmar itself, but also to the buses and trains that took us on day trips out of town. The street was quiet and charming. The owner is very thoughtful and helpful. We would definitely choose this apartment again when we return to Colmar!

Old-world charm in the centre-ville of Colmar
We stayed in this flat for two days and enjoyed our stay. Stephanie was very helpful and welcoming. This is a large flat with practically all the amenities you would need for a vacation. It is located in downtown Colmar and is close to cafes, restaurants, shopping, and local attractions. The property is very nice, clean and has old-world charm to it. It's very quiet and secure but near everything that downtown Colmar has to offer. There are two bedroom able to sleep two people each plus a couch downstairs. Plenty of room for 2-6 people but verify occupancy with the property owners first. It has a large downstairs bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and a garden tub plus a powder room upstairs with a toilet and sink. For Americans, be mindful that light switches are much lower on the wall than we are accustomed to, basically at waist height. Colmar is a very lovely city and it's certainly worth the trip. I would recommend this property as it was as-advertised, clean and quiet. Stephanie and Olivier were super-sympa and very easy to work with!

Perfect apartment in the Colmar city center
We visited Colmar for Christmas market and this apartment was the perfect place to stay. On a quite street just a few short blocks from all of the markets. It is also an easy walk from all other places in the old city. The two bedroom apartment is very spacious and has all amenities you might need during your stay. I recommend it very highly for any visit to Colmar.

Very neat apartment close to tourist attractions
This spacious second floor self-catering apartment is in a narrow pedestrian street almost in the heart of the picturesque historic centre of Colmar. We were able to stop outside the apartment to unload our car, but soon warned to move on by a patrolling official. The only free parking area is located several blocks away but not well marked and very full on a Friday night. Owner Stéphanie pedalled over to let us in, seemed a bit reserved and formal (this was the only place we stayed where the owner asked for a signed lease agreement, 250 Euros security deposit, extra charge for linen, and expected all cleaning and vacuuming to be done before departure!) Apart from having to indulge the owner's cleaning fetish, the only other real negative was that we found the pillows quite hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise a perfect place to stay and enjoy the amazing and very popular attractions of Colmar.

We specify on our internet ad and on the rental agreement that there are optional charges (sheets, towels, cleaning) and that we ask a deposit of 250 € on arrival. Indeed, it seems to us more pleasant that our prices are adjusted according to the requested options. Thus, a family who takes care of all the "details" is happy to pay less, and we too, because it gives us much less work. Finally, we must take the time to read the announcement before booking and commit. We offer two kinds of pillows: feather pillows AND synthetic pillows. But you have to take the time to open all the closets and wardrobes! Nous précisons bien sur notre annonce internet et sur le contrat de location qu'il y a des frais optionnels (draps, serviettes, ménage) et que nous demandons une caution de 250€ à l'arrivée. En effet, cela nous paraît plus agréable que nos prix soient ajustés en fonction des options demandées. Ainsi, une famille qui se charge de tout les "détails" est heureuse de payer moins cher, et nous aussi, car cela nous donne beaucoup moins de travail. Finalement, il faut donc prendre le temps de lire l'annonce avant de réserver et de s'engager. Nous proposons deux sortes d'oreillers: des oreillers en plumes ET des oreillers synthétiques. Encore faut-il prendre le temps d'ouvrir tous les placards et toutes les armoires!

Watch the stairs - there are a lot ! But this gives you lovely views and quiet at the top of the building. So a plus really. We loved everything about this place. Would highly recommend it.

Thank you for your appreciation! The apartment is located in a medium-sized townhouse on the 3rd floor. The 2 benefits are the view of the cathedral and the absence of neighbors above. But the stairs make the aprtment inaccessible to people with disabilities.

Great location
The apartment is in the central part of Colmar. We recommend parking the car in the outskirts of town and walking everywhere in the old city - with a map. The streets are narrow and you can get lost easily. Colmar is a central location for anyone planning on visiting the old towns along with wine road. The apartment was well layed out and comfortable for 4 ladies. The beds and pillows were also very nice. There are several sets of stairs, so the entrance to the apartment would not be easy to navigate for the elderly or handicapped. The owner was very easy to work with and quite accommodating. I highly recommend this apartment.

Appartamento in posizione strategica
L'appartamento era molto pulito, ordinato e con tutto il necessario per la cucina e la pulizia. Unica pecca le scale, un po' difficile salire l'ultima rampa in legno con i bagagli e le mie gambe poco agili. Il resto perfetto: posizione assolutamente centrale e comoda per passeggiare e raggiungere tutta la città vecchia. Molto bella Colmar nel periodo di Natale, non so in altri periodi, ma credo sempre affascinante. Molto comoda la posizione anche per visitare i dintorni e raggiungere Strasburgo. La vacanza ci è piaciuta molto. La mia nipotina, 4 anni, ha gradito tantissimo i giochi che ha trovato nell'appartamento. Complimenti a Stephanie per l'ottima conservazione del suo appartamento.

Un nid douillet au coeur de Colmar
Appartement bien situé, au coeur de Colmar. Tout est organisé pour passer un bon séjour aussi bien à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. 25m et nous sommes dans les rues illuminées. Des aller retours faciles des marchés à l'appartement pour se ressourcer. Un boulanger à 300m; pratique le matin lorsque les rues sont vides. Nous avons alterné Colmar, l'écomusée, le château du Haut Koenisbourg, Rickwihr et Beauvillé. Région à visiter l'été en projet...

Optimal für das Elsass
Die Wohnung ist optimal um Colmar und das Elsass zu besuchen. Die Lage mitten im historischen Zentrum von Colmar erleichtert das Erleben dieser Stadt enorm. Die Wohnung ist tadellos, es ist alles vorhanden,was man benötigt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war problemlos. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr tolle Wohnung in zentraler Lage
Die Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben, gut möbliert und toll eingerichtet. Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral, so dass man die Sehenswürdigkeiten direkt zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war unkompliziert und man hat auch tolle Tipps/Restaurant-Empfehlungen von der Vermieterin erhalten. Die Vermieterin spricht auch deutsch - ist aber auch bereit mit den Kindern französisch zu sprechen. Wir können die Wohnung ganz klar weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit in Colmar.

Urige Gemütlichkeit im Herzen von Colmar
Wir haben eine wunderschöne und sonnige Woche in dem gemütlichen und liebevoll eingerichteten Appartement von Mme Hugues verbracht. Sie hat uns freundlich in Empfang genommen und auch der weitere Kontakt war problemlos möglich. Herzlichen Dank auch noch einmal für die Tipps zum kostenfreien Parken. Die Wohnung ist für 4 Personen vollständig eingerichtet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders genossen haben wir die Ruhe in der Wohnung und die Tatsache, dass man trotzdem mitten in der Stadt wohnt und abends noch für ein Glas Wein losspazieren kann. Bäcker und Lebensmittelhandel fußläufig erreichbar. Colmar ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um das Elsass zu erkunden. Immer wieder werden wir gerne Gäste bei Mme Hugues sein!

Saubere, gemütliche Ferienwohnung für 2- 4 Personen
Die Wohnung ist perfekt gelegen, mitten im Zentrum, nahe zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Dafür ist aber das Parken und Entladen des Gepäcks nicht unkompliziert. Die Wohnung ist über viele Treppen zu besteigen, also kann sie beschwerlich zu erreichen sein für ältere Besucher. Ansonsten ist alles da, was man braucht. Ich empfehle diese Wohnung und ihre reizenden, hilfsbereiten Vermieter.
