Very charming hotelPosted Nov 6, 2013
The hotel is like stepping back in time and the rooms are very charming. Beware though, that the bathroom in the room is just glassed in, so there is not much privacy. We were also in a room at the top of the main stairs, so I could hear noise from the restaurant downstairs, but they provide earplugs and I had no trouble falling asleep. The staff was great as well. I had a bit of a sore throat when I checked in and asked about the possibility of coffee or tea and the front desk person took me down the hall to make hot tea and asked if I'd like honey and went to get that as well. I love going one more step to hit home that customer service aspect!

Nice stop on bike trip!Posted Oct 25, 2013
Hotel staff obviously very proud of this historic hotel. Room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Refurbished bar has a relaxing ambiance with a retro feel and friendly bartender. Food was tasty. Great place to stop off of the Katy Trail. They even had a safe place to store our bicycles and gear.

Somewhat nicely remodeled.Posted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: If it was as nice as it seemed it would be pretty nice.
Cons: Overall quality every where.
Location: Pretty good location. Casino near by and a few bars.
Easy check in/check out. Entry way was nice but the room not so much. Horrible paint job, floor sank in almost 2" in the center of the floor when you would walk a cross it. The all glass shower was cool but the "rain" shower was a joke. It was just some slightly over sized shower head. So for the price the room was, it was not worth it. If it was around $100 for the room that would be about what this place is worth.

Great place to stayPosted Jul 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
We only stayed one night. The room has updated bathroom fixtures. Small rooms, but comfortable. The old hotel look was very nice. Continental breakfast was excellent. Price was fair.

A night in a classic property.Posted Jul 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
A landmark property in Boonville. All the people were very nice with no service or room cleanliness problems. My opinion only here--the restaurant and bar, while fancy, were a little overpriced. When the dead fly was seen in my wife's half-finished cocktail (in the restaurant, not the bar), she left early not feeling too well. We had a great server who took it all with a positive and cheerful outlook--give her a raise! The bar tender and the desk guy were very professional and friendly. The continental breakfast was very nice--beautiful presentation. home-made breads and well attended by the morning desk man! Parking was free, either in the street or down a narrow alley in the rear. Everyone should stay at the Frederick once--especially if you appreciate history. But maybe find a different place for the evening meal.

Great place to stay. Nice accommodations, beautiful restoration. Glenn's Cafe is definitely THE place for dinner. Will definite go back, when able.

Great old hotel with a touch of new!Posted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great renovation (with cool/quirky bathrooms). Very cool lobby and bar. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked good as well. Highly recommended change of pace.

Very disappointedPosted May 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Arrived early around 1 pm and asked to change for a grad party even if the room were dirty. Was told absolutely not they were full and you will be in the girls way. We cannot get you in until at least 4 pm. Changed in the mens room at my suggestion. 1 of 2 urinals out of order as was 1 of 2 stalls. The room was very warm even tho the outside temp was only 85 during the day. The best way I can describe my stay is it was like looking over my shoulder constantly to make certain a rule wasn't broken or you weer being an intrusion vs. a paying guest. I have stayed all over the country and in quaint older hotels... If this is a 3 star hotel I am Brad Pitt. A 2 star on its best day!
