It was a beautiful home well taken care of. Homeowner was a delight to work with. Tennessee had tornados the evening we were coming in and she text me told us to travel safely. We had a 9 hr drive ahead of us and we needed to have a place to sleep as we were coming in a 330am. She accomidated us so we could get some much needed rest. We will be back was a beautiful home. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub one evening. Wish we could have taken advantage of all the other amenities like the fire pit, pool table, work out room but unfortunately we had a wedding that kept us busy most evenings. We would recommend taking a short drive to downtown columbia square enjoy the shops and sit out and have a wonderful lunch. Thank you

We will be coming back!
We came to participate in Mule Day. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. We were in and out a lot and the check in was easy and following the instructions were a breeze. The house and property were so well taken care of. We want to go back in the summer to use the pool and outdoor space. We hope to be back next year for another Mule Day weekend! Thank you!

Great property, lovingly maintained, a couple worn-down features.
As with all VRBOs, they take their fair share of abuse. Despite that, you could tell this property is lovingly maintained. We loved every minute of our stay. We had a wonderful time exploring Columbia, too. The river front walk, the pipe lounge, the Buck and Board, Hunt's thrift shop, all wonderful. A couple things to be aware of that are common in VRBOs. The buttons on the Hot Tub are cracked/broken, some of the jets/waterfalls don't work and the bluetooth speaker is broken (jumbled sound), but the chemical levels were spot on, it was very clean, and it was hot and bubbly : ) . Most of the non-stick pans are very scratched. WIndows are painted shut. The batteries for the XBOX are all dead (or the controller is broken). The Pool table has a crack in the middle so one side is very tilted (someone put cardboard under one side, so one side is level). The dishwasher is hard to reach and has broken buttons. All minor things that definitely don't take away from how nice the property is and how quaint the neighborhood/town are. It is a wonderful property. We did need to contact Mercedes for a minor issue. She was responsive and very helpful. We would totally rent this location again!

The best part of our trip!
This place was absolutely amazing! We came for a short stay in Columbia and wish we could have stayed longer just because of this home. So many thoughtful touches went into this VRBO. It felt like a home away from home! We would love to come back!

Home was great, the stairs did give us a little bit of an issue, since we are all seniors. Location was super with everything so near. Neighborhood felt safe and comfortable.We all agreed we wuld like to come back in the summer.

Last Minute Rental
We booked this cute little rental last minute, for a funeral. It was comfortable, clean and just what we needed to get through the difficult weekend. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub before going to bed. Next time we come visit the family, we will probably stay here again. The Smith Family!

Don’t look any further !!! This home is cozy, comfy and so clean and beautiful!!!! She pays attention to all the littlest details! From the hot tub, to the swinging bed, and the comfy beds! Even got to ride a pink bike! It’s in the country and very quiet and away from all the city noise! We will stay again and again! Thank you for everything!

Best rental ever! House was very homey. You could tell the owner had put a lot of thought into making sure every accommodation was available. We wanted for nothing. Plan to return in warmer weather to utilize pool and hot tub! Don’t hesitate on this one.

Wasp Infestation
Beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood. Polite host. I wish I can give 5 stars however there is a horrible wasp infestation. My daughter was stung inside the home within the first 15 minutes of arrival. We noticed them swarming around our entire stay. Host provided several bottles of wasp spray after being notified. We were still unable to stay out back in jacuzzi bc of the issue. In addition to the wasps,the back porch was also consumed with spiders and webbing everywhere. The prettiest room (with hanging bed) is beside the porch. Host stayed in contact the entire time and apologized but guests should be aware of this issue to determine their stay.

We are very sorry that the wasp stung your daughter. We did send the pest control company there to take care of the wasp nests as we were notified on a Saturday afternoon. He came by that evening with a cab of spray ans he was off work and not in his pest control vehicle and again Monday morning he did a professional treatment and cleared away the wasp nests. We are on a 3 month rotation with him and are very cautious on making sure the products used are pet and kid friendly. We do keep wasp spray and had extra brought upon notification of the wasp. This time of year prior to cold weather is one where we have to be extra vigilant. The porch is a screen porch and while we sweep it and dust it regularly we are not immune to the outside elements and spiders do visit from time to time. We try our best but we could never keep the outside critters from visiting occasionally. We keep bug spray for the occasional mosquito and wasp spray if they decide to get to close for comfort.

Neighbors were having tree work done. A little loud, but no fault of property. Kitchen needs a little TLC. Toaster broken and dishwasher so unlevel too shelf actually opens door during cycle. Kind of bummed spices had been cleaned out. Downstairs toilet looked as if someone shook duster over it and laundry left in dryer. Overall minor stuff. Great family stay.

Great house, great neighborhood
This house was exactly as pictured and the host took great care to make sure we felt at home with lots of little extras! The neighborhood was quiet and pretty, beds were comfortable, and we loved the swing bedroom especially. My only concern was the outside/pool area which did not reflect the same level of care as the house itself-the host may not know but there a LOT of wasps back there! Seems they have built a nest in the corner of the sunroom roof. Also the pool could have been cleaner-we had some residue on our floats and toys. But if these were addressed I would definitely recommend! Thanks for a nice stay!

Thanks for the review! The wasps have been evicted as they did not pay their vrbo stay. The pool is always balanced and cleaned prior to each check as well as the hot tub. We have a professional pool guy that has the check in schedule. He keeps us sparkling clean and ready. There are trees that provide great privacy but certain times of the year also provide some shedding. We also just recently replaced a circuit in the pump. We were down a day or two without circulation due to a need of repair. All is back and the pool is up year round. Swim at your own liking to what the Tennessee weather is dishing out for the day!

My family and I were visiting from Michigan to attend our cousins wedding. We arrived before the actual check in time and when we contacted the property owner she allowed us to enter the property early :-) The home is Amazing. I has all the comforts of home and more. A swimming pool, hot tub, work out room, pool table, large bed rooms, chef kitchen, desk and printer if you want to do business, tv's in each room, screened in porch overlooking the swimming pool, games to play..so much to list. I would definitely stay again. Everything, absolutely everything was Amazing. A+

We had a great time staying at Muletown’s Modern Comfy Cottage. We were in town for our son’s wedding. This house was perfect for our family. The decor is beautiful and all the beds were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. We frequently rent places, this is the most relaxing and fun experience we had, I own a cleaning business and this house was exceptionally clean, the beds and pillow were so comfortable, the pool and hot tub were clean. Nice house. Great pool and hot tub, well maintained.☺️ Could use a bit more storage area/counter space or shelf in one bathroom but not a big issue. Quick response from owner on any questions. Would definitely recommend. I was a bit taken back by the amount of stairs at first but that's just me not paying attention to details. ( We are seniors who don't have stairs at home.)

Our group enjoyed a week in Muletown. Loved the pool and location of the house was perfect. Only issues we had was a nest of yellow jackets prevented us from using the hot tub, could have used more silverware as we only had enough forks for one meal setting and maybe a couple larger pots for cooking. The screened in porch could use a good cleaning.

Hello Melinda, the pool guy was able to evict the yellow jackets. We will be painting the screen porch floor on off season and recovering the sectional cushions. I’ll check into adding more flatware and few more large pots:) thanks for the feedback…

Unexpected Decadence
We had been looking forward to our stay for almost a year and were NOT disappointed! Honestly, the photos don't even do the house justice. It is BEAUTIFUL. I will remember the upstairs shower (we never used the downstairs) forever, it is in the top 5 showers I've ever had in my life. The day room, with the hanging bed was so pleasant and cozy, it gave me warm fuzzies just sitting with my family and looking through the windows. The pool/deck was incredibly well taken care of, and we enjoyed the Saltwater aspect, as opposed to Chorine! The kitchen was stocked: Pasta, any spice you could imagine, ice cream, frozen pizzas, popsicles, coffee creamer, drink mixers and every condiment known to man! Also left lots of extra blankets and towels throughout. I couldn't believe how thoughtful they were. And of course, they were SO accommodating to our pups! Left food/water bowls, supplied 'doggy stairs' for those of us who sleep with our fur babies, a fluffy dog bed. And all the puppy art! There was one snafu with the garage door, but they sent someone to fix it within a half hour, and it was taken care of that same evening. I'd maybe ask if their landscapers are scheduled to come during your stay - the guy just walked into the pool area without saying anything, while we were in the pool to cut the grass. Not the host's fault, but it did feel weird, and the dogs almost escaped. Overall, it was one of our best VRBO experiences yet. We will ab-so-lute-ly book again.

We are so glad we booked this home for our family vacation. Kids, adults and dog had a wonderful stay! Everything you need is at this home. Pool, hot tub, pool table and plenty of room. Beds are super comfortable, kitchen utensils and supplies to make meals all stocked at this home. If we ever decide to stay in Tennessee again we will book this cottage again!

Absolutely Perfect Home!
We stayed three nights for our annual girls family trip. We wish we had another day here! We are booking again for next year. We had 7 adult women for our stay, and we all raved the entire time about how perfectly appointed this property was. Every detail. We never left, we decided this house had everything we needed!! We all took turns making meals, the kitchen was well equipped. The pool and hot tub, the highlight of our trip- we were outside the whole time! We used the gas grill located in the room off garage for steaks one night. We never did get a chance to use the pool table room downstairs- and we found game consoles and things in the closet down there! We also didn't make it to the fire pit, that's a must next year! Our group had plenty of space to be together, and be apart when we were ready to sleep. Plenty of parking in driveway for all of our cars. We took pictures around the property of our group- such a cute home! All of the "Muletown" touches really made us smile! Look around, some of them aren't as obvious but you can tell so much thought has been put into this awesome home. Also, the greetings and personalization for our welcome was so appreciated!! Mercedes is an amazing host!! Cannot wait for next year!

This was an amazing trip and it was made even better with the accommodations. Everything was perfect. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of room. It's professionally cleaned. Mervedes was quick to answer texts when we had questions. I would highly recommend this place. Even with the price you won't be disappointed.
