Old stone buildings converted into apartments and room only which is where I stayed. Set in the middle of countryside, it is a very rural location. Room had vintage furnishings and a unique style, shower and kettle with tea and coffee. Owner had switched on oil radiator as it was cold when we stayed here. We dined at separate restaurant of same name and had a superb roast dinner.

Greeted on arrival by an extremely friendly gentleman showed me to a beautiful rustic apartment that was brimming with character A full fridge for a lovely morning fry up included. The meal next door was equally as good, extremely friendly staff, beautiful open fire and the Steak and Guinness was excellent. Overall a fantastic stay here, I will definitely be returning!

This property was really enjoyable. The host was wonderful. We had a room booked and upgraded to a cottage and absolutely did not regret. The restaurant attached has really good food. We had gnocchi.

Ivan is a legend, thoroughly nice chap and the suites are amazing. I was genuinely shocked when I rocked up and could see where I was staying. The photo's don't do it justice.

The value Clenaghans offers is truly outstanding. It is so far removed from the generic, bland, sterile, cookie-cutter experience you get at most appartments, let alone hotels that I'll never consider staying anywhere else.

The accommodation was excellent everything you would need for a couple of night stay from all the ingredients for a wonderful breakfast to the bedroom bathroom livingroom kitchen dining area more a home from home than just a hotel room staff just couldn't do enough for you i will definitely be back and will recommend this to all my friends

It’s the fourth year to visit the Balmoral Show and always have stayed here. Love the quirkiness of some of the features, appreciate the welcome pack in the fridge and is always my go to place when in the region.

Lovely welcome from Ivan. Very well laid out accommodation, well stocked fridge for breakfasts. Cosy, comfortable and nice ideas for repurposing old items all around site! Loved the restaurant nextdoor, best to book ahead as it gets busy at weekends. Will definitely revisit in the future.

What a fabulous cozy home away from home. The large "room" is more like a small bungalow with all you need for your stay. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Highly recommended for a self catering accomodation.

We loved staying at Clenaghans, it was an 350 year old farm house turned into a hotel so it was very rustic but that is one reason we liked it so much. The staff were great, the room we stayed was comfortable, the bed was very comfortable, and had a top sheet, most hotels do not supply a top sheet. the building was old but the shower, stove, refrigerator and all other electrical appliances were up-to-date. They supplied the breakfast, eggs sausages and bacon, toast cold cereal, yoghurt and we were able to cook it. It was unexpected treat and a real hidden gem of a place. We wish we could’ve have stayed longer and enjoyed the surrounding area more.

The hotel was rundown and locked up. The bar and restaurant were not open. If we wished to stay we had to ring a mobile number, paper pinned to out house at shambolic rear yard Not a good experience and left without staying. Please review the web site !!!!!!!!!!

Check In very bad. Manager/Owner had no Personal Skills, was abrupt, rude and unhelpful. His first comments were that the room we had booked was not good and very small and we could have an apartment for 1 night for 20 pounds more. He was also critical of the on line booking system (Expedia). Room was poorly maintained Shower head fixed with tape, lights out, heated towel rail no working, Towels were old and ripped on first use. No room cleaning has was told they were self catering. Not mentioned on Expedia web Site No Hot water during the day and had to have cold showers. When questioned the Manager he said " the Boiler only starts at 4pm each Day

A nice place to stay, if a little out of the way
The room was nice, cosy and well-appointed. The WiFi worked well. We had a little issue with the hot water, but Ivan was helpful and accommodating. The food in the adjoining restaurant was phenomenal and the service was good. It is a little out of the way, and the restaurant does not do breakfast, being in the room only and not one of the apartments meant no cooking facilities. However, the nearest village is a 7 min drive, or 45 minute walk away and there is a number of options there. I would definitely recommend.

I have stayed before - always love here - old style buildings and unique the way Ivan the owner has them finished - all by his own hands too. Food in the bar next door is really lovely too but would recommend you book ahead to get a table otherwise you'll be disappointed!

A cosy comfortable room with good clean bedding, excellent tv, powerful shower also tea and coffee facilities. Excellent hosts, never hassled and felt at ease to come and go as we pleased. Top class restaurant on site, about 25 mins to Belfast centre.
