Rooms were very clean, nice facilities in the room. Beds were great, everything looked like new. We got a no smoking room but there were cigarette burns on bath tub edge. What we did not like was the owner was very rude, cranky, and downright hateful. She wouldn't even let us look at the room before paying. For this rudeness we will never stay here again! So beware!

It was on ok 2 star, but booked on Expedia and said had breakfast bar. Had nothing, not even open at 6am as was promised. The place was ok, but old and tile was dirty. Bed and sheets were good. Don't expect much. Not sure is worth the price

Towel on floor to catch water from outside. Could see daylight between the door and jam when closed and locked. Advertising cont breakfast bot didn’t have one. (Wouldn’t have ate there anyway) woman at desk was unkempt and barefoot. Do you have any rating lower than one star?

The room we got wasnt cleaned at all. One bed had some dried bloos on the sheets. In the other bed the pillow and sheet smelled like cheap perfume. Both beds were obviously not changed. There was dried uren sprayed on the wall in the bathroom. The security lock on the main door was busted off and should bw replaced. Worst place I have ever stayed.

I was disappointed when I checked in to learn there was no breakfast (not even coffee) even though the picture clearly shows a place service breakfast. The reason given was that they were unable to get supplies. The room was plain but pretty clean. I was a little nervous about the door locks. There was a towel on the floor just inside the door which I didn’t understand

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize about the breakfast issue but we did have it taken off of our amenities but forgot about the photo, so we thank you for pointing that out to us. We'd love to know what made you nervous about the deadbolt door lock and top safety lock on the door? We put down towels at the door to wipe your shoes on when entering to allow for a cleaner room during your stay. We hope you have a wonderful and safe trip!

Also, we do apologize if we brought the incorrect size of tub stopper needed for your room, if you would have let us know we would have brought you the smaller tub stopper immediately. A great place to stay!
This is a great, inexpensive place to stay in Dalhart. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We love being able to park right outside our room. It’s close to the highway and restaurants. We’ll stay here again.

Grumpy clerk (owner?) checked us in. Scolded me about not providing payment information on website- website said it wasn’t required. Yapping dog at front desk- continued yapping longer than I would have expected. Clerk/owner? Let me know that they made no money off hotels.com fee paid and THAT was the reason there was no continental breakfast (despite sign -laughably- stating they couldn’t get supplies.

The lady at check in was rude, unhappy about the price I received on Expedia. Got a pet friendly room, then had to pay $20 cash for him to stay. He is also my sons support pet. Went to the room, there were dried boogers in one of the beds. Smelled bad outside of the rooms. I slept what little sleep I did get and we got up and left early. Went by front office to return key and the gentleman in there was really nice. I asked him if he wanted to check the room,, as he did not.. go anywhere else except here.

An older place that needs a little love. Room was clean and comfortable. Nearer to the fringe of town so needed to drive to eateries. Got what I paid for.

This is an old-fashioned drive-up-to-your-door motel. It was very clean and up to date. It was obvious that the owners take pride in their property. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave. The only negative was that there was no breakfast (due to supply issues, they said). That was sad because they had a charming little breakfast area. I would definitely stay here again if Dalhart were my stopping point for the night.

Made reservations and went to check in and the desk clerk which is the owner could see my reservation and see I paid for the room but told me she had no rooms available for Expedia. I explained I made the reservation because their hotel shown up as a hotel to use through Hotel.com and she still refused. I ask if I could pay for another room and she charged me more than what I paid on hotel.com. Hotel.com did refund my money after they had called several times with no answer from the hotel. The room was clean but had duck tape in the tub which was a previous room I had a few months before that I had to use all the towels to clean up the water where the tub leaked all over the place….guess duck tape works.😊 I hate bad reviews but I do believe the owner handled it all wrong. When I called hotel.com they offered to put me up in another hotel but I had already paid for another room at Regency. Lesson learned.

The host told me that his rooms were blocked out to Expedia, because it's harvest time. For a moment, I thought I wasn't going to get a room, that's a bad on Expedia. The shower/bath floor was broken and a flimsy rubberized mat was glued in. It felt like I would step through it. I had to ask to have my AC turned on twice, kind of weird.

We've stayed here before, which is why we chose to stay here again. The individual working at the front desk was not pleasant. She complained about how it was that we had obtained a reservation, as their property was completely booked. By my estimation, based on the few vehicles in the parking lot, this was far from accurate. She also complained that we got our reservation at a rate far below their typical rate. I wasn't sure how I should respond to what she was saying, so I chose to not say anything. The key card did not work, so she had to come out to let us into our room with a physical key and seemed to be quite put out about it.

The woman with the darling dog Echo who checked me in was very friendly, efficient and made me feel welcome after a long days drive. She is an asset to this motel. My stay was comfortable and room was clean. I would stay here again

Very clean and comfortable room! Accidentally booked a smoking room & was able to have it switched. Owners very kind and accommodating. Only negative was the AC. Very noisy (woke us many times) and only took the edge off.

Manager was horrible. Rude, abrasive, standoff-ish and confrontational. “Pet friendly” is a joke. They are pet hostile. Charged me pet rent (an extra $35 on top of reservation) and wanted $100 if anything was found damaged and wanted a hundred different documents signed at the 20 minute long check in process with multiple cards. Yelled at me as I was leaving that the room stank because of the cats (this room was already disgusting and dilapidated). Horrible start to my cross-country trip and will be checking in periodically in hopes it goes out of business. I never EVER write reviews, and especially not negative ones. This was the worst travel experience and overall customer experience I have ever had.

I was highly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I could tell it was renovated and was a lot better than I thought. My only downfall was the shower. It shouldn’t be available for use. If it was fixed/useable I would have given this hotel a better review. Honestly, it would probably be pretty perfect for the price!

I called to re-confirm in the morning and let the person on the phone know we would be arriving very late at night. My kids and I arrived a little after midnight and the attendant walked out from the back room after I rang the door bell multiple times and was visibly upset I had woken her! She was very short with me and demanded a credit card “in case I ruin anything.” I realize English isn’t her first language but when I’m customer service one should at a minimum learn a more courteous way to speak with customers. I also was tired! Otherwise quick and decently pleasant 7 hr stay.
