Tree-Fort Cabin in Snowline (Mt Baker)

Plan an escape to the mountains with a stay at the Tree-Fort! The cabin is known for its close and convenient location for skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, or biking in the Mount Baker area in the Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, North Cascades. After your adventure, you can choose to relax by soaking in the hot tub, warm up by the fireplace or cook a meal in our delightful kitchen or outdoor Weber grill.

The space
We hope you fall in love with the Tree Fort as much as we did when we first visited. The previous owners, Superhost's Matt and Maxine, have created such a cheerful, comfy space and we hope we can share it with you! Just like Matt and Maxine, we plan to offer clean, quality accommodations for years to come.

The Tree-Fort has been newly renovated from top-to-bottom! It greets you with a bright red door as you enter the Scandinavian designed cabin. You'll enjoy the comfy linens, cheerful decor, fun furniture and thoughtful touches in every room. There are "nests" to find & curl up and read. Outdoors, you'll enjoy taking in the view of Church Mountain from either the hot tub, lounge chairs or outdoor dining area.

**Recently, for extra security we have added a smart doorbell camera. You will find it at the front door facing the driveway.

And just a little bit more info:
- After making your reservation, we will contact you to fill out the community rental agreement form and (your address and Vehicle Info) to submit to us. We MUST receive this agreement form ASAP from you, in order for you to receive full access to the Tree Fort! This is a COMMUNITY RULE we have to follow!

Children-please make sure your children are well supervised outdoors near sunken hot tub and on property as we are sit up on a hill.

Dogs – we allow 1 dog per rental, with a $30 extra fee. Please notify host if bringing a pet. Please note any damage to furniture or pet stains will come out of your damage deposit. Please use the dog blankets located in hall closet, for the furniture AND floor. If there is dog hair left on the bed, furniture or excessive amount on the carpets & floor we will have to charge a MINIMUM of $50 and up to $99 for the extra cleaning time! You must pick up your pet deposits outside and they are not allowed to mark their territory on the decks. Dogs left unattended inside the Tree Fort, must stay in a kennel.

Family Mid-Winter Baker Vacation
The Tree Fort Cabin provided a nice little stay in the Baker area. It had all the amenities we needed for a nice stay. The cabin was clean and well put together. Everything worked. The addition of dry spices and a largely complete coffee station was a nice addition. Darlene was very helpful with questions and prompt with answers. Her helpful info left little to be asked. Great stay, would highly recommed.

Adorable Christmas Cabin
Our family of 4 and dog loved staying in this adorable Christmas cabin in the woods. The cabin was decorated for Christmas with such detail it felt magical. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The hot tub sat under lights and stars for a perfect soak from the cold. We loved walking around the cute neighborhood full of cabins. There was a river close by with beautiful trails through the woods. We drove to the Nooksack Falls and to the Mt. Baker ski lodge which had a pond frozen over that we could walk out onto and take pictures. The Chair 9 Restaurant and Bar had the Apple Cup playing and good food. Overall we had a very memorable family trip. Would definitely stay again. One of the best VRBO experiences we have had!

Great cabin!
Loved staying in this cute cabin. Super comfortable beds and love that the owners have their personal touch on the property. The trails in the area were nice and so many awesome places just a short drive away. Def make sure you plan ahead with food, we didn’t come too prepared with groceries and there is not much nearby in terms of market or places to eat.

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin! It is as sweet as it looks in the pictures. Darlene was absolutely wonderful and communicated with us that the nearby restaurant would be closed due to an excessive heat warning. This helped us plan for our evening dinner on the way! The check in process was seamless. The string lights above the back deck/hot tub really lit up the night, allowing us to stay out past dark and enjoy the space. We would absolutely return and stay here again.

It’s cabin time!
Wow! The owners have done a great job on upgrading this property. Great location for us day hikers wanting to hit the best trails at Mt Baker, and come back to a hot tub soak, lounge/read on the deck. (FYI, major flood/trail damage this past spring so 2 of the most beautiful and popular hikes were off the table, but honestly didn’t miss them, every day we hiked had stunning views!) Cabin has a full kitchen and has a bbq which we used almost every day. We planned all meals/snacks ahead, buying a cheap cooler/ice and shopped for the week at Burlington coming from Sea-Tac (or you could hit Bellingham before coming up the mountain). You MUST do this, there is limited groceries nearby and really limited restaurants, like only one- chair9, which we did not try, but looks good for pizza. The cabin is super cute, very great attention to detail in the decor and design. And thoughtful instructions on how to use everything, you can tell the owners really care about your stay. It was super spacious for us 2, who love having 2 bathrooms, and another bed in case someone snores. But it would be a great space for kids, especially the “nook” upstairs, books/games/Netflix, community playground. And the trail in the community was a perfect rainforest adventure. There is no cell service and limited Wi-Fi (so make sure you have all your check- in instructions printed beforehand, which this workaholic forgot to do). This ultimately was a pleasant blessing and made for a serene trip, and a reminder that it was truly CABIN TIME!

Semi-comfortable, WIFI not guaranteed
Wifi: We both work about 5 hours per day This was not in online description when we rented. It is now. We got lucky, internet went down a few times per day but not for long. Could watch Netflix ok. Address says in Deming. But really east of Glacier on 542. Very remote Didn’t bring up much food since Deming is very close to Bellingham. Could eat out. But, Stock up! This place is new and clean but the inside furniture is not that comfortable to sit on. Lighting is bad for reading a book. Outside furniture good when bugs not biting. (Evening) Kitchen table good… read book there but semi comfortable Kitchen is well stocked No ketchup, mustard, salad dressing but They have a lot of spices, oil, pans, cutlery Bathrooms small. It would be hard for 4 people to put out their toiletries. Bedrooms have no dressers, little night stands only Not much surface space to unload/ layout stuff Luckily there’s only 2 of us, can use daybed. We felt 4 people would be cramped Beds are fair. Double foam so hot There is no cell service for miles around There is a landline Wifi was good 98% of the time The hot tub was #1 vrbo picture BUT you’re supposed to bring your own towels for that! You only get 1 towel per person. I find this out in rule book when I get here. Bad timing since I flew out to WA 3 weeks ago. The place was hot at 80 and sunny. Upstairs loft is hot. They had 1 big, 1 small useless fan. Can’t open upstairs 2nd bedroom window for draft since no screen. As sun went down… Mosquitoes started biting outside. They did bring more fans next day. It really helped. Nice grill, outdoor furniture, hot tub clean. Did not find area to be noisy. Stayed 5 nights. Kids would love this place. Pool, 2 basketball courts, tetherball, tennis court, pickleball, swings … you have to bring the rackets and balls but it’s a gated friendly neighborhood. Lots of kids on scooters. Had reading nook for kids in a closet type space, sit on the floor with pillows, cute. Had a lot of kid videos Mt Baker at end of 542 had a lot of snow Ton of hiking paths Path by vrbo takes you by a glacier melt river. Very pretty

My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Tree-Fort. It was clean, cozy, and as pictured. It was close enough to Hwy 542 to easily get to hikes in the Mt Baker area. The kitchen was well-stocked. The hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. We had good communication with the host.

Well appointed cabin in a busy community
The cabin is darling. Very well appointed and exceeded our expectations. We did have two issues which were beyond the owners control. The temperatures were in the 90s and the cabin has no air conditioning which made sleeping at night challenging. The owner had fans which helped, but it was simply hot. The other issue was the community was very noisy on the weekend. Everyone was very good about being quiet during quiet hours but if you are looking for a quiet place to hang out and have conversations that are not being overheard this is not the place.
