The Arundell is a lovely hotel run and owned by lovely people who were warm and welcoming. The owner actually came to greet us on the car park and asked if we needed help with our luggage. A great start! Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the room sumptuously comfortable. There was no TV in the room and suited us perfectly, who needs to be reminded of the stresses and strains of modern life in such a gorgeous place?
If I had any criticisms at all it would be the fine dining and sometimes not all the combinations work well, as was the case with my "fish of the day combination". A citrus element would have removed the blandness from the main dish, otherwise, very good indeed.
I would stay here again without doubt and in future I would take advantage of the Fly Fishing instruction on offer if possible.
