You know, it is a funny old thing but our guests seem to be getting so much younger than when we first started!! I think it is a bit like the policemen look so young these days!! Thank you for taking the time to place a review. What a shame you did not tell us at the time you were shown your room that you thought you had booked into a different room when we could have done something about it. You only mentioned it when you left for which I apologised for our error. Most rooms, apart from the Master bedroom, are not large. We live in an old house and not a purpose built building. We would hope that our guests would not want to sit in their rooms all evening and would hope they would come and join us in the bar or sit quietly, as you chose to do, in the elegant sitting room. Finally, as a matter of interest I would be grateful if you would please contact me and give me some idea of where you think the electric kettle and bin should go and what should be removed. That layout has been the same since we have been here (nearly 20yrs with no complaint) so I would sincerely be most pleased to receive your suggestions as you are looking at it with fresh eyes. We trust you enjoy the rest of your stay in UK. Best Wishes. Amanda

You are right: the access is not the best but think on this....when we arrived here 18 years ago the entrance was only half the width and there was a massive great flowerbed in the car park and another one at the entrance !!!
