first off, booked 2 rooms with the option to pay at the hotel, get there and they cant charge to my amex or visa since its a US credit card, staff has no idea how to charge these cards they talk to their service provider and they too have no idea, they think the credit cards in US are similar to Europe where you have a chip and have to enter a pin so after several tries over the next 2 days i finally had to wire money through western union to pay these guys in cash. i wish hotels.com did not offer this option if we cant actually go ahead with it. all hotels.com said was the hotel accepts payment only in EUROS, i thought thats fine i will charge to my AMEX, well lesson learned dont use that stupid option and just pay in advance. another issue one of the 2 rooms was not even prepared for us, the other room had water and fruits and patio furniture in the patio as it should be. the other room, broken patio glass door, patio furntures inside the room and no water or fruits as in other room. i asked the front desk he tells me only on the first day u get water and fruits, he did not understand that i didnt get it to begin with, no worries bought my own water, just i have stayed at many hotels and this wasnt my best experience. also the half board only includes breakfast and dinner, no drinks are included which seems pretty stupid to me i understand not including alcoholic beverages but how much more would it cost them to include bottled water and soft drinks?
