Basic clean room, good bed, close to beach, friendly owners. Things that could improve is the foul sewer smell from the bathroom, AC unit did not work well to cool off the unit, not many places to hang clothes, kettle needs cleaning, would be nice to have some coffee cups/plates/bowls/utensils.

The property is comfortable and in a great area - only a short walk to the beach, which is down the front steps. The beach is quite, secluded, away from the tourist hotspots but equally, if not, nicer. The hosts were lovely and very helpful.

Very dissppointed in the stay at this property. Would never come back. I booked with expedia 2 queen beds an apartment of fair size of 500 sq feet. not only did i not get 2 queen beeds nor fair size apartnent opposite double bed and a sofa bed with the room being around 300 sq feet very small. When i asked the property owner she stated we dont have sonething like that. Well then why am i paying for sonething i didnt ask for. Whether the listing wrong on expedia website or inaccuracy of the property owner shame on both of them.

Villa Doris is pleasantly cute, its located off the main road to Dubrovnik depending on which way you travel. Rosa, the owner, is awesome although there is a very small language barrier. Its a 1 minute walk to the bay which has a pleasent beach and a small restaurant. It is a very basic self catering apartment and if you're travelling on a budget, its worth the money. Rosa and her husband were excellent hosts. They even offered to drive us to the market so we wouldn’t walk in the heat. They were right there and assisted us when needed. There were ample kitchen accessories, a stovetop and microwave, but no shampoo, conditioner, or soap bar in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and there were extra blankets. The view of the sea was amazing.

Quiet little village on the side of the old harbour with 3 eating places with varied menu options Owner arranged boat trip was wonderful picked up from the harbour by a little boat directly to the main transport

Very clean, close to a beach, walking distance to a couple of good restaurants, 2 minute drive to a supermarket, free parking onsite. A few minutes drive to Dubrovnik (but you may want to use Uber if available -- parking in Dubrovnik is crazy expensive). Most important -- we were arriving late (after 10 PM_ and Roza waited to welcome us upon arrival. We truly appreciate that.

the property has all we need. although the location is a bit ouside the city. but there are few restaurants around the apartment. the host is very friendly ang accomodating. the rooms are very clean and the linens are comfty.

Great value, lovely beach, September break.
Basic and suited our "quick get away" needs. Our room was not self-catering although mysteriously had a kettle and microwave but obviously no cups, dishes or sink to do anything with them. There was a proper fridge which was great for cold beers in the evening. No sea view from our room and was a bit dark, but we were out most of the time anyway. There is no shop or bank in this little enclave and its a good 30 minute walk to next town so be prepared to stock up on fridge essentials when you do shop and bring cash as the nearest cash machine had run out of money and we had to wait until Dubrovnik. The hosts were friendly enough and got an offer of a lift to the nearby town to shop but it was never followed up. I think by the end of the season they were worn out. The people that own this apartment also own the pizza place round the corner - head straight up the stairs to get a sea view. Apart from that, great value and great pizza! Thanks guys.

Nice view, quiet location outside Dubrovnik.
Comfortable apartment with basic equipment. Very clean. Owner and family went out of their way, specially after accident (fractured right elbow) during boat trip. Served be public transportation

Room was clean and very basic but that was to be expected given the price. Very close to lovely beach and great restaurant. Shuttle bus services available to Dubrovnik available from nearby hotel. Great spot for just relaxing. Would stay again.

Villa Doris was great
The owners were so hospitable and made sure we had what we needed. Our room was close to the beach and was very clean. The restaurant that is owned by the family had great food. Make sure you try one of Tony's fresh mint juleps. I would sure recommend Villa Doris to everyone, the beach was a great place for families.

I know we visited in the off season BUT...
The hotel staff was friendly, and the location was good BUT we had to call a few times and ring the bell several times for someone to let us in at around 6pm. I know we visited during the off season, but since we made a reservation, we expected someone to be there to give us a key to our room. The electricity went out our first morning there, and it just felt like we had a lot of bad luck. And, a staff member kept asking me for cash instead of honoring my credit card through Expedia until I just said I refused to go withdrawal so much cash, and they finally ran my card.

Quite place away from the rush of Dubronvik. Fabulous little beach with 2 great restaurants. The only draw back is the buses are only 1 an hour to the city.

Overall good experience
Short distance from Dubrovnik but perfect quaint little town with small restaurant on the water. Upon arrival it was difficult to locate where the office actually was to check in but owner found us. Very friendly, accommodating and large and clean apartment. Bring your shampoo, conditioner and soap as they did not provide. Also did not provide dishtowels for drying dishes as there really isn't space to let them dry etc.. Kitchen was very awkward and less than ideal but we made it work.

Great apartment at a good value
The apartment is great and the price is good. There is very good parking which was key for us. The location is probably ideal for the beach time of year. We were there in the off season so a 10 minute drive into the old city was required.

Very comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay. The beach is rocky as are most of them in the area but it was just a 2 minute walk away and the water is wonderful. Rosa, the owner, was very pleasant and the room was spotless and comfortable. We have two minor complaints. It's very hard to find when you're not familiar with the area. We finally called Hotels.com for help. Somewhere in the listing they should give you clear directions. Also Rosa should give everyone a map and some direction for things when they arrive. We got help from her but always had to ask. The next night we stayed in Montenegro and the woman has everything laid out about the "old town" and e-mailed us before our arrival to give us directions. Wonderful!

Great Bargan Apartment, Location & Service
Last minute booking and we found this gem with a great location to the scuba diving center we dove from. Family run, great location 15 minutes by car to the city of Dubrovnik (picturesque drive of the bays), ocean bay view, and a great price for the accommodations. Very clean and great service!

Great Find, Fantastic Service
Great little apartments within driving of Dubrovnik. The family running it is very helpful and do what they can to make your stay enjoyable. There really isn't anything within walking distance except a cozy restaurant and a nice beach. So renting a car is helpful if you plan on going into the city often. The bus is somewhat far and on a very small road.

outstanding!!!!
Everything was great. We had a car and it was a reasonable rate and we just drove in and out of the city. Owners always ready to answer a question. We live the dishes'microwave,refrigerator. Room very clean. Water view. Their son and daughter had a great restaurant:-) right next door. Beach also right there. All was great for a reasonable price... owners very friendly znd helpful. They left us to our own privacy which was nice. We felt safe

A Gem Just Outside Dubrovnik
The setting was breath taking. Our hostess was always more than helpful. English is not a problem. The beach is rocky but the water is warm. You will enjoy your stay

Nice hotel next to beach
It was a very nice. Small clean hotel with a pleasant staff in a quaint beach community on a cliffside outside of dubrovnik. The only problem we ran into was the extremely narrow street you had to take off the highway to get there. It is a very dangerous turnoff of the main highway which is only two lanes. One north and the other south and getting off and onto the highway was always a challenging because of on comming traffic coming up or down that main road. However overall the view was beautiful and tge beach was great.

Easy hop by car to Dubrovnik
The apartment was fitted out with adequate appliances/utensils to make a basic meal. Very good furnishings and bathroom. Quiet location near pebbly beach. Staff quiet but helpful. Convenience store 2km along the road, plus location from Dubrovnik make a car necessary.

Viaje a Dubrovnik
It is a good and clean apartment. If you go by car is perfect, because is only 15 minutes away fron downtown Dubrovnik. The owners are very kind and helpful. The hotel is just in a small bahia 50 mts from the beach and there is a pizzeria and a small bar around it. The only problem is the mosquitos so bring something to fight them

Bueno si se pretende gastar poco con baño privado
No es hotel, sino tipo apart hotel. Muy buena la predisposición de los dueños, pero muy limitada la prestación de servicios (en cinco noches no hicieron la limpieza (no estaba prometida en la oferta, pero tampoco se aclaraba que no había servicio de limpieza de habitación), tuvimos un solo cambio de toallas y las mismas sábanas los cinco días. Amerities solo jabón para el lavatorio/ducha. Por lo demás, cómodo y a menos de 100 m de la playa.

das Zimmer hatte sein einziges Fenster/Tür zur Straße, die Anzahl an Küchenutensilien (Löffel, Teller etc.) war extrem gering und bei unserem Einzug roch es streng. dennoch konnte man sich hier wohl fühlen. die Gastgeber waren freundlich und bis zum Kiesstrand war es nicht

À quelques kilomètres de Dubrovnik surpeuplé de touristes et aux prix exorbitants, nous apprécions cet endroit retranché en contrebas de la route et tout proche d'une plage accessible à pied et plutôt calme avec deux restaurants. Maison accueillante avec emplacements de parking partiellement ombragés. Bon confort et calme au rendez vous.

Petit studio sympa proche de la plage
Proche de Dubrovnik en voiture ou en bus et à 100 mètres à peine d'une belle petite plage, notre studio était calme, climatisé et très agréable pour un long weekend. Il y a deux restaurants plutôt sympas à proximité.
