Large Lakeside Cabin

Come experience lake life!

This newly remodeled lake house is the perfect retreat for you and your group. Featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, this property can easily accommodate 14+ guests. Just a block from the public beach and park, and minutes from the Boulder Lake Cross Country ski trails, you find plenty to do during any season!

Want to bring your boat? Snowmobile or ski equipment? We have storage space! You may also launch your boat down the road and park at our dock.

Take advantage of the full kitchen or grill on the back deck while overlooking the bay. If you don't want to cook, visit the Island Lake Inn resort next door for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also offer takeout and off-sale beer, wine, or liquor if there is anything you forgot to bring! They also have premium fuel for all of your machines.

On the upper level you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A couples retreat with a queen bed, the long hallway room, with 2 queen beds, and a family suite with a king bed and full over full bunk bed featuring newly refinished en suite bathroom.
The main floor has a cozy room with full size bed and a 3/4 bath as well as a pull out couch. All bedrooms and the main living space feature Roku enabled televisions and wireless internet access.

The house itself was good. Plenty of space and supplies. Clean, updated bathrooms were nice! Enjoyed the convenience of the bar/restaurant but did not realize it was so close and there was a lot of traffic in and out. Also, the lakeside was not what we were expecting. The lake water was very low and the house is located next to a small pocket that connects to a bigger lake so we are glad we did not bring our boat.

We wanted somewhere close to Duluth but not in town. This was the perfect distance to all the things we wanted to do while in the area. Very nice house and lots of beds. Very cozy sitting by the fireplace at night. Just across the driveway from the bar and grill was nice - food and service was great! We didn't get to use the firepit outside but it looked like a nice amenity. Would definitely stay here again.

Ladies weekend to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday!! Location was perfect and scenic. We ate dinner at the bar next door and food was delicious. Family vacation
The property was in a great location for our extended weekend family getaway. Close to Duluth and right on a lake. The bay was nice for the grandkids/adults to go paddle boarding and kayaking without having to deal with waves from the lake. The lake was so close, very short walk, for swimming and beach activity. We met our host the 1st night and he assured us if we needed anything to just give him a call. There was no need as the house was well set up and we had everything we needed. Would stay here again!

Beautiful big house that we loved. Someone was close enough to bring us what we needed (batteries & propane). There’s a big yard for games & the dining room table accommodated all 10 of us for meals & games. The house is decorated very nicely and is very clean. There are two decks and a lot of outdoor furniture. We had a great time and love the house. We hope to rent it again!!

Great except for “mosquito room”
Overall this was a great place for us to stay! Room for the kids to play both inside and out, and if you needed there was space to relax away from the busyness of having nine people in the same house. The middle room upstairs that had the two beds had a reoccurring issue each night with multiple mosquitoes in the room. No idea if there was a hole somewhere or how they were getting in. None of the other rooms had this problem.

It was a lovely place.
The owner was so accommodating and was very responsive. It’s a wonderful place to stay with a lot of things to do nearby. We took a trip during the falll so we didn’t get a chance to do anything in the water, but there was still plenty to do. I really enjoyed having the pub next door. It’s not mentioned in the description but it was a nice addition to have food and drinks right there.

We stayed here with another family with a total of 4 adults and 5 kids. Plenty of room for everyone. Great fire pit area and open area for kids to play. Next to a busy restaurant/bar but not a problem. Great swimming spot across the busy highway. Very clean property!

Very clean and great accommodations!
We enjoyed our stay in the Duluth area. The house was very clean, Darren was quick to get us somthing if we needed it and he checked in to make sure we had enough fire wood. The kids had a blast searching for snails on the dock. The bay is busy with people coming and going for the restaurant but everyone was very friendly and certainly respected our space. The home had plenty of room for our large group. The kitchen had plenty of stuff to make dinners for our large group as well. There were plenty of blankets and towels. We appreciated having the high chair and pack and play. We had a great time!

Island Lake Inn is an exceptional vacation home. Communication is exceptional. It’s extremely easy to get to the property from Duluth. The home is clean and spacious for a big group. This was the perfect home for my group and I will definitely be back.
