A Charming Oasis in Durban: The Acorn B&B
Our recent stay at the Acorn B&B in Durban was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its old-school charm and the warm, welcoming hospitality of the two lovely hosts. I cannot praise this B&B enough for its unique blend of comfort, friendliness, and convenience. What truly sets this B&B apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. From the moment we arrived until our departure, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with any request made our stay memorable. We even had the pleasure of sitting down with them for a chat, which felt like catching up with old friends. The location of the Acorn B&B is also worth highlighting. Nestled in a serene and quiet area of Durban, it provided the perfect respite from the bustling city, allowing us to unwind and relax. Yet, it is conveniently situated close to all the attractions and amenities that Durban has to offer. Whether you're looking to explore the vibrant city center, soak up the sun on the beaches, or indulge in local cuisine, everything is just a short drive away. In summary, our stay at the Acorn B&B was an absolute pleasure. If you appreciate old-school charm, impeccable service, and a tranquil oasis in the heart of Durban, I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B. We left with fond memories and a longing to return to this exceptional establishment.

Spectacular Stay in Acorn B&B
My stay with my husband was amazing. The place was isolated from the noise and buzz, the welcoming from owner and staff was heart warming, it really made us feel at home. The place was clean, the rooms were so clean I could pick up a single lash. The place had a very homely and comforting feeling about it. We will definitely make it our go to accommodation when in Durban again.

Beautiful place inside and out however I was upset at the fact that my booking included breakfast but I was told by the owner this would not be provided. Didn't ask if I was willing to pay for it either just left it at that. We booked a bnb for that specific reason.

From the same day as your above hassle, I havebeen phoning and corresponding with Expedia as I believe it is their problem which should have been sorted our in July 2020 via another guest Dumisani with the same problem.. No resolved as yet 08.57 22.09.2021

Property itself is beautiful. There's a lovely doggy named Tammy who stays there. We were placed in a room we didn't book, due to the previous guests people in our booked room extending their stay. This was fine by us since the new room was very nicely done. Although I was told that I would have parking made available to me, when messaging the owner for a key he never responded, sadly. Our first night, there was a fight in the courtyard due to unruly guests and police came over but I'm very sure this is a rare occurrence. The owner, Dom, seemed to have a good control over the situation once aware of it. Disappointed about parking since it caused us to check out a day earlier for safety concerns. However should I ever find myself visiting Durban as a tourist. I would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your stay but sorry it did not meet your expectations. Yes you were correct that was the first time that I have asked the SAPS for help. The guests were removed. from our B&B. The key story was resolves as I had to replace three remote the previous guests had not returned.. I did not see your SMS for the remote but we did speak about the domestic being resolved when you came to the window. I wish you had reminded me then and the hassle would have been resolved immediately Thank you for your comments re Tammy Our special Lab, the beautiful garden and recommending Acorn B&B to tourists to our sunny Durban Re your leaving a day early please come back again to finish your stay

My booking included breakfast but when I told the owner Don Atkinson about breakfast, he said to me Hotels.com did not pay for breakfast, I had no choice but to pay for it again. It was terrible breakfast, eggs had to much salt, I asked for a brown toast and he gave me white toast. Above all, lesson learnt. My son enjoyed the swimming pool plus the internet connectivity was good.

I am very disappointed in your review as I felt you were a very fair and upstanding person. To take your anger out on my establishment over a misunderstanding on your part - you definitely did not pay twice for your breakfast as you have published. You paid a room only rate............... If you were so unhappy with your eggs and white toast not brown toast - I am even more amazed to remind that you went on to eat 2 breakfasts ( full house - bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, baked beans, fried potato and onions X 2 yours and your sons) and I was at the table and nothing was mentioned as it would have been my pleasure to redo your eggs to your satisfaction if you had brought your displeasure to my attention.
