What a gem! Everything about this property is exemplary. From Colleen’s pre-arrival coordination, to Marty’s onsite support, no questions/inquires went unanswered. The property is immaculate, from well-manicured lawn to super clean interior. Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals – even large spice collection; large silverware/plate collection. We grilled ribeyes on the upper deck’s gas grill – superb. We baked pork chops and grilled chicken in the gas oven – yummy. We kept windows closed during the day and open at night to keep house comfortable during the week’s warm conditions (mid-80s each day). Adirondack chairs on deck were relaxing after long days of hiking in the park. I presume property has tankless hot water heater as it takes a short time for hot water, but it gets hot and there’s plenty of it – so just be patient and you’re good to go. My wife enjoyed a soak in the tub after one day’s long hike. We enjoyed not having TV – the available high speed internet enabled us to do what was needed and not lull us into staying inside. Like most log-frame homes, this one talks a bit as the temperatures change (beams expand/contract and ‘moan’ a little) – adds to charm of the property. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood – one block’s walk to ice cream shop. We hiked Grinnell Glacier, the three falls to Virginia Falls, Hidden Lake, Highline, Avalanche Lake, and Aster Falls. Location is great – we took 464 via Browning to St Mary’s visitor entrance instead of the 20-mile shorter Hwy 49-to-89 route due to significant road construction on Hwy 89 south of St Mary’s park entrance (while a longer route, it is about 5 minutes shorter in duration). This route takes you past Teeple’s IGA in Browning – where we did all grocery shopping. Gas in East Glacier Village was substantially lower than in St Mary – another reason to stay in East Glacier. We were blessed to have sunny, warm weather all week. The is a 5-star property; we would definitely stay here again in the future!
